Other thing, do u know how to get full capacity from the software, like the transitions , gps etc..because here in Portugal, the software has no transitions to select etc etc, its the portuguese version, and the seller saw that too and said that's due to version, is it possible to reset it, and install a international version that comes with everything??

The Jet is proving its Model Name with it Speed, as it carries a 800mhs Prossesor. Got it in Hyderabad from a SMPP Outlet.(samsung Mobiles Privelage Partner ) . Truly a smarter than smartPhones ...

Price is really cool though 20k! I was expectin around 24-25. Really glad i din go for the S8300

we already have this phone... in some other country like ours its called S8003 "jet"
we sell this at around $450 not others said $650 thats too awfull... ei guys if your planning
to purchase this phone its cool very easy to use all its application can be well understand
that even old ones baught it. its display and resolution is very excellent..

I have good expectation for the samsung jet after the review but really disappointed when it launched in Singapore. The S8003 package is totally different what i saw in the review S8000 and also at the samsung fair.
Alot of features are missing, example transistion effect, GPS navigater, youtube not streaming.....

I've also considered Iphone but as I see it is getting a bit old tech on a old package.I was waiting for something else than 3GS... Hey it is always a good phone and as you said there is nice software.
Jet also has good software just think JAVA! You will probably find allmost everything you need (look for JAR/JAD).
Done the same screen side by side and for me jet wins (significant difference).
Jet's top notch is its speed when compared to others. Better if you try it... just run iphone side by side doing common stuff.
UI is also great and simple IT WORKS! Battery life is very good (3/4 days for me but still playing around). Camera is also great, just check the samples around the net. Screen sensitivity is just amazing , try it and see for your self.

TIP: to install software on SAMSUNG JET S8000 follow these steps:
1) google for TkFileExplorer v2.2 and install it on your computer.
2) close Samsung new PC Studio (yes close it! y don't it for this)
3) connect jet to PC and choose PC STUDIO usb mode
4) run tkfileexplorer
5) choose right com port and click connect
6) browse to games folder at "User/Mass/Java/Games"
7) create a new folder for your new software (place JAD and JAR files here)
8) close tkfileexplorer and open keypad on your jet
9) enter: *#6984125*# to open factory menu
10) choose internals
11) enter: *#9072641*# master key
12) choose 6 storage settings
13) choose 3 update java db
14) quit factory menu and go check the games menu.

Gama, 09 Jul 2009Hello ! Well i told the seller, that in videos, demo video... moresend a wallpaper to both phones and see which one has the clearer picture, sure it will be the jet.. and if money is not a big issue for u then buy the omina HD but remember that the jet is not too far from the HD.

Well i told the seller, that in videos, demo video... morewell first of all i bought the iphone coz i liked it but it had so many downs such as, u cant send stuff through bluetooth and the battery wasnt good enough plus a camera that doesnt have video recording and many more.. i tried the jet at the shop and i compared its screen to the iphone and it was double the quality.. i was amazed by the speed of the phone and the excellent sensitivity of the screen. my phone is s8003 and its the same thing i guess but there is language difference than the normal s8000 due to the area i live in.. about the applications i really dont know man but i think you can download but not too many.. ofcourse iphone has much more apps. but trust me iphone is nothing more than a touchscreen.. if u compare both the jet and the iphone ull see that:
1. jet is faster
2.jet has better screen
3.jet has a better camera
4.jet has better audio quality not through headphones ofcourse but through the speaker.
5.jet has a better battery life ( 3 days with medium usage)
6 scrren sensitivity is almost the same but maybe iphone is a tad better.
7. iphone has bigger screen but less resolution
8. iphone has more apps
9. it is easier to send data to jet because it has bluetooth that allows sending and recieving.
and in the end its ur choice really but i can assure you that the jet screen is the best amongst the omnia HD and the iphone.. omia HD advantage is the bigger screen and better camera and ofcourse the smartphone capabilities..but you have to pay more for the omnia thats why the jet is the real deal, it has alot of features for a cheap price.. hope that i helped.. have a nice day ^^

Well i told the seller, that in videos, demo videos all over the net that i saw, the images were so crystal and clear in Jet8000,..and then live, both iphone and Jet in hand, the iphone seemed better and more crystal image...maybe it was from the lighst in the shop..but i was so impressed with the phone in the net,and when i tryed it i got very disapoointed...
By the way, why did u buy an Jet8000 if u had an iphone,wht made u buy samsung,and how can i test better both in the store to drop out my questions about samsung, because in iphone i like the very cool Apps and multimedia,do u have cool apps etc for samsung?Sorry for so many questions,but i am choosing a phone and between iphone,samsung jet or HD....
