I believe it can view ppt, pdf, doc etc files on it since they mentioned that in the announcement of the phone. They also said there will be an update for the firmware so we can have the menu in landscape mode which is similar to the lg arena tilted menu.

Does Samsung Jet have document viewer? that is word, excel, powerpoint and pdf viewer?

i have this handset, S8003, to be exact. and i notice there's no several transition effect like in the preview video.
and i notice the camera was unable to toggle the LED on/off in other scene mode except in the "none" scene. so night portrait photo using the "none" scene in lowlight area resulting an over-brightness in face area, while using "portrait" scene will produce almost black photo because lack of the light. is it just me? or i was forgetting something? are the LED always fire in the same amount, like weaker in a more well-lit area, etc.

Have it for about ten days now.
Positive:
- screen is bright, sharp, colourful, fast
- great with fingers, but I also use a little wooden stick (gentler than plastic), it responds extremely quick
- browser is awesome, ONE-TOUCH zoom hehehe
- 3 screens
- full keyboards types good enough (I was used to HTC S730 which is brilliant there)
- find loads of stuff on getjar.com and experiment between Pixon and S5600 of S5230 (Jet is not mentioned yet)
Negative:
- No Route 66 in it, although you get the feeling it is in there???
- Google Maps has VERY small typeface
- battery life is short (but hey, I am toying with it all day)
- they use a special connector, like some nokia's have, so good luck finding extra cables...
- mail program does only support text and no html
- reads Office files and PDF, no editing of Office files
All in all, I am very glad I bought this one instead of LG Arena. First I opted for the Samsung Preston S5600, but this screen got me...
Great looks and great phone!

HT... morenonsense...the htc phones arent better than samsung in general. they have some more features, but only because of their smartphone OS, show me the htc phone with an 800mhz CPU...or with an acceptable audio player...or with an really sensitive touchscreen. and you have to think about the princing....samsung is cheaper than htc.....

Samsung, do you know why your popularity is led by HTC? HTC is technically far behind Samsung in general, but their phone sizes are smaller with WM (ie, smartphone). More importantly, Samsung uses too much curves in their design, losing sexiness in looks. People seems crazy on the squaredness of HTC design in general. Come up with a small (just like Jet or smaller in overall size without sacrifing the LCD resoulation and size) WM (or Symbian based) phones - I'm gonna wait for it. Technologies behind Jet deserves much higher scores than HTC phones.

hey Anonymus,i had a omnia i900,everything is good,but speaker volumm is too low,i wonder if the s8000 has a louder speaker?
