Hi friends,
After waited for more than 6months, I finally decided on this device. I will be getting one by the end of next week. Whenever I visit the comment section there are some negative comments on this one. Guys, who have been REALLY using this mobile, please tell if this is worth buying. I cannot afford to have samsung wave though..Thnx

yes it has videolights nhd d1@720@30fs, and jet is brighter ultra brilliant touch Amoled than x6 is only TFT LCD.. jet camera is super brighter at night and sunlight.. x6 very poor camera and not good at night. and music player and movie player,5.1 dolby sorround,WOW HD is "superb". if you want comparison x6 and jet see search in youtube.. is a big differences. samsung jet is 100% good than x6..

Hey, I like to know if this phone has video light option (it's not mentioned in GSM arena). Am planning to buy this phone as it has features more than X6. Before I could buy this phone i would like to know, how is this phone in general, as you use it without messing around with this phone downloading/installing any unsupport softwares/games?

jet is very good device .. but flash movie not play that so how can we upgrade our Jets flash player. kindly inform shortly.

worst phone ever made by samsung, fed up of this piece of junk, its only with the service centre people since i bought it. they return me every 15 days and and i return them back in 5 days, dunno they even repairing it or juss handing me over the same faulty piece

TO FENG: feng, tried what you have suggested...i went to VOD settings and saved the current settings and didn't change anything...tried to play videos from youtube and it WORKED!! thanx again feng! :D

It is annoying to hear rants of posters who obviously doesnt know anything about the specifications of this phone. So I will try to impart some knowledge into you.
1.Applications on this phone is vast because its Java- based.You just dont know how to install them obviously.Try reading some forums regarding the Softick and Java uploaders and you will be surprised.
2.Resistive screens are generally much user-friendly than capacitive because you can use pressure. That means you can use styluses,your nails,etc..Try doing that to capacitive screens and tell me about it.The two technologies are therefore not comparable.
3.To those who blab about the battery life, seriously dudes, try to read something about batteries esp the NiCads and LiIon LiPoly.They have to be conditioned first for proper operation.That means you have to charge/discharge them consistently a couple of times in order for them to attain their rated mAh. Duh.
4.Hardware-wise, this phone is a monster comparing to its price.Where can you find an 800Mhz 128MB phone that is very much affordable?
Even after reading some negative comments about this phone,I still opted to buy this one because of its specifications.To those complaining about its primitive OS, FYI softwares are easily replaceable.Hardwares arent.Please try to read the project Jetroid in DarkForest forums and you will see how close the Jet Androidization is. A year tops and Jet will be running on Android.
Even if Samsung customer service is crap,the specifications on this phone comparing to its price is unbelievable.I seriously hate its OS but judging by the progress of the Jetroid project, its just a matter of time before we have firmwares running entirely on Android.

without installed apps,, is it enough for use or it sometimes needs apps ,,, I mean are these apps important or just for fun
as I use my phone for every thing in my life like taking down notes ect,,,
Is it enough or I will need more to carry apps.

For the price its a steal!
However, if you want to have a phone which can have apps installed later, don't go for this phone. Go for any Android-based phone (Samsung Galaxy) or iPhone. But the price is more than double that of Jet. The Jet has a few widgets of which a few are quite useful while most aren't. The Jet inherently has an amazing music player (superb sound I would say), superb AMOLED screen, a very good camera, good video player (plays DivX, Xvid as well), a decent organizer. So, will leave it to you to decide what you want from your phone.

just Read my post last july2010 i teach how to save battery and long life up to 3-5days by using drain and cycle up to 5x. because all samsung has a higher processor like jet,wave,galaxy has a proper way of charging...

welcome po, check the vod setting.. try to change the network setting to your wifi connection.. after doing this try to play youtube.. make sure all application end by pessing mid menu key press end all application before you search or play youtube..

the hard is not bad, but the soft is rather limited. you can't turn off auto rotation. the zoom can't be locked and can get in the way, no copy-paste, no file details, can't rename .ext, screen burn-in, short battery life (eg wi-fi does not auto turn off and quickly depletes battery), decent stand-by though (would break 1 month if it had auto on/off) etc
still a good deal, and excellent if android would be finally ported.

I think from my swarch on the internet this mobile is bretty good but it doesn't support installing apps and I don't know about the battery life !!
