bubble, 09 Jun 2009i have used the phone for about two weeks now to be honest... morei purchased one 5 days ago. Mailnly for the 8mp camrea. I am about to exchange it for the 3rd time. camera freezes, shuts down, cannot access photo browser without the thing dying. honestly its purely frustarating. has anyone else noticed that the msging characters is not large. for a standard msg for myself it says must send 3 msgs. this really cheeses me off. will cost me more in bills in the long run. mobile provider will not change to another brand just keep swapping to new one. same probs but. will see.

n how many sms can be stored in inbox ?
i am buying this mobile in couple of days..
should i buy this one r else any advice ??

I've had this phone since it came out and the feedback on here makes me laugh at times. yes battery life is short, and yes it has no wi-fi, but i personally am not concerned by no wi-fi, and i turn my phone off at night to charge it up. no phone that is left turned on all the time will last long. battery life does improve over time, mine did by following this tip.
as for the criticism of the camera, ignore these comments, in my opinion. i upgraded from a 5MP with xenon flash to this handset, and i am happy with the results. the flash on this tocco ultra may only be a LED so in dark places, sure it can be weak at times, but i strongly disagree with people saying it's like a 3MP. ill informed opinions. it does also depend on how you've set the camera up, default settings are ok but once you've customed the camera settings to your style you'll soon notice an improvement.

just bought it today.really its a great phone.features are also great.i like every thing but one thing i dont like about this phone is its sound in loudspeaker.so what can i do with s8300?

it is ugly as compared to sony also it lack features and ya we all know samsung can never get kind of sound and display we get from sony
so i think i will go with sony

Does it trigger functions/modes on slide? Most slide phones go into keylock mode and cancel all operations/calls on closing - and vice versa, if you open it, you unlock the keys and pick up calls.
Can you still do this (i.e. lock the touchscreen on sliding in the keypad) or does the touchscreen stay active when you slide it in? (that's what I love about slide phones - no bothering with locking your keypad and not having to bother a lot with the accept call buttons - and you can still use it with one hand easily - unlike flip phones).
If anybody has some hands-on experience and can say something about that, many thanks in advance.

Mobilereview.com's review claims this phone has 2 microphones to help with background noise suppression, is this correct? How well does it work?
