              hi people!
as i said before...forget this good looking (AND UNUSEFULL) samsung, and have a glance at LG GD900!
that is a good looking and complete phone.
it has what samsung s8300 should have had since the first day it was made!!

When I heard about this phone I was eager to get my hands on it. With 2.8" OLED scratch-resistant capacitive touchscreen display with WQVGA resolution and nice design, it is SOOO tempting.

But when I heard NO WiFi, I was like "Whhhhaaaatttt!!!!"

Owhh c'mon. What were they thinking? So yesterday!

I think the phone needs wifi and maybe a better OS to be considered "big".

The design and concept is good, just lacking in those parts...
                    for me anyway.

only reason to buy this phone seems to be the nice design.. but I rather get Prada 2 since it has nice design + qwerty + multi-touch. Don't understand why samsung didn't make S8300 with red qwerty sliding out

For example, most phones with a DivX logo are "DivX Mobile" certified. Currently using this phone. The touch screen is not as responsive as the Pixon. Definetly looks nice. Been having some problems with the browser.

Wanted a small but efficient replacement for my lovely nokia luna. Found the touch screen difficult and was advised by saleslady that this was because of my nails. Be warned ladies, this screen requires fingertip contact. The inability to easily edit texts put this lovely looking phone on the back burner. Any suggestions please? New phone must be small and slim so my little hands can cope.

Pro: ergonomic and slim phone, incredible display, strong slide and construction. intuitive and well tought 3d software.
Every time you touch the phone you have a different default screensaver.
Loud a clear audio on a conversation, the same thing for integrated speaker.
Great "letter" finder on a phonebook....you can scroll also with the volume key. you can also find your contacts by photo just scrolling on right your active desktop. Exellent video recording: the color are true, balanced, low noise a very fluid.

Contro: editing a message is not very confortable...virtual t9 qwerty is not so responsive as should be...the same for the real pad. proximity autosensor.(works only for the photo and video)
8mpx camera without great performance...sometimes the autofocus doesn't works property and you have to restart the camera. touchscreen is not the best it's only quite responsive. no wifi.

payed 389 euro here in italy.

I want to get this phone but i wanted to se it in action first so i went to my loacal vodafone shop and got a demo of it, i was very happy, the touch screen was ery responsive, the camara was brilliant and the sound is very good to, i went to create a message on it and found it fine, most people on this site are fussing oer the lack of WiFi, GET OVER IT. the phone doesn't have it, if you want a wifi phone go buy one(but please dont get the N96), all in all i was very impressed with this phone.

texting is annoying on this phone, the tocco was so reliable. i like the slide down keypad however you cannot add any symbols or grammatical marks in or around a word. you cant even make your own smiley. editting a text is almost impossible, you have to delete the whole thing. the old tocco had left, right and up/down buttons so you could click the word/letter that you wanted to edit, the ultra has no such function, and this one is meant to be an upgrade!

The phone itself to look at is nice, slim and bespoke colour system. The way the phone is 'meant' to work would mean that it is a phonomenal phone. However, the battery life is absolutely diabolical, i used to have the old tocco which was said to have bad battery life, but i actually found it impressive; it lasted me 3 days easily and on the fourth day i knew it would run low if not completely out. my usage hs not changed and the tocco ultra wont even last me a day and a half... rediculous!
The camera is a vast improvement on the tocco, but that could be because of the 16m screen.
The orignal tocco was fast and highly responsive, the widget was reliable, as was everything else... the ultra, well, you would expect them to have bene made the other way round, its irresponsive, slow and freezes a lot. i am having to send mine back due to it being faulty freezing and switching itself off.
Little things that annoy me are like the alarm... you have to reset the whole settings everytime that you have to set it i.e whether it will play in silent mode, the ringtone, the volume etc. its a complete faff and has been missed on the proto types, just not good enough samsung!
Yeah, it should have wifi, but would you substitute anything for it really? its not that major!
The general design is wonderful, but i think the software definately needs a re-think. I loved my tocco, not sure how well i am going to gel to this one.
Hope this helps any questions some may have.
