Just got the T100 here in Australia. Though i am a big Nokia user i must say i am pretty impressed with Samsung so far, well done Sam., and though the phone is not perfect what makes it pretty remarkable is the price - some of Nokia's 800 series phones are just as expensive, but lack value for money, ie are indeed overpriced for what you get. A phone like the T100 offers great top techonology compared to what Nokia are willing to give you for the same price- yep older Nokia models such as the Nokia 800 series - and all pretty dodgey phones. Not even paying for quality in this instance.
Makes me wonder that perhpas we Nokia fans have been just a little too blinded by our loyality- we should not always prejudice against other brands .
Can imagine what Nokia's comparable phones will cost when they come out here in Australia,(Nokia 6610 and 7210 due to come out late this year) ....ooooh v. scary thought.
Anyway, i 've broken my loyalty for now and must say i am not disappointed.
Love it so far , except for a few things -suppose can't have it all. The pros:-, well ofcourse the LCD screen, and the fact that you can download animated wallpaper, unlike the Nokia 7210 (unless i'm wrong). The only small problems i have with it is the volume limit - could do with a higher volume and vibration is a little weak; also would love to be able to delete call register in one go; earpiece is somewhat weak, i find i need more volume coming from the earpiece and oh yes, if you are a 12 hour clock person the 24 hour clock set -up is a bumer. Now for the question i hope someone can help with? - for incoming calls can they be received in both melody and vibration mode - ie vibrate the same time as ringing? i know it that under 'alert type' you can pick the 'melody+vibrate' option. But it seems to fail to do it simulatenously- it only vibrates, where's the melody gone to?. any info out there on this topic would be great?

i have just purchased the phone. It had taken me a while to get to know the menu setup. After using nokia and siemens. The phone is very good the display is WAW. I would of liked to be able to place wallpapers with each caller group.I give the phone 8-10

I have got this phone and i think it is great but i would like to download more ringtones and the screensaves but i carnt find eneywear to do that. If you know wear i can get then fron could you pleas tell me

In Italy you can find this phone at 500 Euro...lemme known if it has also more serious ring tones to use when you're at work or something like that...And the software? Has some bugs? E-mail me....

I have bought the Samsung T100, i will have it in 3 days and i cant wait!!! From what i have seen and heard its the best phone on the market now and as far as the nokia discusion goes..i had one and its shite..i hate the batteries of nokia and its no good for nothing...its only for people that are going for the less best phone! xxxx

i was at the samsung open today (tennis) and went in their tent and got to see all the samsung products. the main product they were showing off was the t100. i got to hold one and play with it. its sooooo cool admittedly it looks a little more feminine than my a300 as it has more curves and stuff but with me getting a free upgrade at the end of the year im going to have to wait. :(

in Reply to Gareth: You are obviously not very good with phones. It does have a MUTE facility during calls, and if you want it silent just press and hold the # key, DIM-WIT. The talk and standby are adequate, and can be extentended with the bigger battery! Anyway where are you going? On safari to the Arctic? As for looks, you obviously have no style if you like the Nokia 5510. And if you want messages, then you're not using the right device, use a F**kin' Message service!

WOW, what a cool phone, it's totally the BIZ. Functions great, sounds great, looks great, and has some many things that should have been around on phones for years. I've just lost my pocket PC, so this replaces the ness. functions I needed, and is by far smaller.

nice menu , better than a 300 , i normally love nokia , but i really love this one!!!!
put some pics in your phone of your friends and family and enjoy theme as screensaver!!!!
bhut does somebody know where to download some nice better ringtones for this one???

the fone is fucking shit, it is slow, not very long talktime, no silence on calls, so if i dont want it to ring i have to turn it off!! it has no GPRS or MMS which r vital 2 the new phones cumming out.
in conculsion the phone is shit!!!!
the only good thing is the looks, which are not exactly the best!!!!
you can only hold 10 msg, where as new fones are holdin 100+
you need to do research, is this want really we want nowadays??
