camera: excellent
UI: intuitive enough
My last phone was the SGH-U700, and this feels like a nice step up. You can assign mp3 to text messages, which is nice, and when you plug it into a computer, it shows up as a mass device. I'm happy with it.

256k on 2.8 screen? not impressive at all. also not all java apps will work with this phone because t-mobile blocked.

I got it this morning and so far I love it. I haven't had time to use the web browser yet because of school work and class later tonight. I was wrong about the front video calling camera. I really don't think that it has one. I haven't used the 5 MP camera yet either. Just phone calls, texting and I put a song on to see how loud the speaker is. It is nice and loud. I will give a review on the phone about a week from now to give me time to use it. Right now I LOVE IT ! !

This is a T-Mobile phone if i'm not mistaken. This will be a big step for them if this comes out first because there isn't a single phone that you can buy from a carrier here in the US that has a camera that strong. I mean my old D900, has better picture quality then almost everything on the market here. This thing is almost identical to the F480, it pretty much is.

HSDPA is basially 3.5G. and 1700 is Tmobiles 3G band

samsung is a realy good company this phone did have wifi on it but tmo wanted to add data plan on this device as well like G1 but samsung said no so tmo asked them to get rid of wifi so ppl who want to surf web will be force to get their data plan so now you tell me isnt samsung thinking about its customer so whos better iphone or samsung

people are just blinded by iphone but they dont see that they pay only 149 for this phone and 299 for i phone + a previous samsung model called toco got a rating of 8.3 straight and has same function and same design so i just dont understand how they rate it. Tell you the truth this phone is really good

Had a chance to use it at work. Its so/so. This phone has a WQVGA screen, 240 x 400 pixels. T-Mobile has dummed down the browser and Tmo blocks 3rd party java apps (ie: opera mini/ google maps) from using data.

Ratings (audaciously poor ones at that) already on a phone not one of you owns or has even used? Pull your heads in. You can'e read a vague spec sheet look at a photo and already have a fully fomed opinion and feel that you deserve to give a user rating! BS! does anyone on this forum actually own or use any of these phones or is it all pure speculation?

first of all ..wOw a 6.3 across the board. sounds poor.
DOes anyone have this phone in there hands yet?
i would like to hear a hands on opinion.
From what i see its not bad on weight.
