sounds like individual phone problem, that was never a overly frequent problem with my behold.

you can always upgrade to a samsung omnia 2

              Don't waste your money..
I've had this phone for a couple of months. It does nothing but frustrate me. Anything you try do do, even text, causes the phone to shut off. It finally went crazy and would not stop shutting on and off. (I have talked to people that has had the same thing happen to their Behold)
The behold is of bad quality, it has many features but you'll never get any of them to work!!
And the 5.0 megapixel (the reason i bought the phone) is not that great either!

Well I am about to get my third behold because my first one froze up completely and now the second one is starting to do it to. T-mobile told me that this is known for doing this. I did the master reset and everything nothing seems to help. So I hope this phone doesn't freeze up completely before I get the other one.

i like the recent recipients, its very useful for the touchscreen behold. saves me a lot of time. clever thinking on samsung's part.

warren, 29 Jul 2009i'm just ask 1 question about dis fone.i had it for 5months... morewarren..

u got to do a master reset, i would save all my tones, pics, videos, and sounds to the memory card first...and remember how all my settings were.

erasing the call log and messages will not erase the recent recipients.

Behold has no radio. So its not possible to open it. If you notice, even the specs on this pages says there is no radio. There's only music player.

OK I feel the need to correct some technologically challenged people so there are no false expectations about this phone.

                                        With that said.
1.) Just because you can access a providers cellular network to access the internet does NOT mean it is Wi-Fi capable. The T919 does NOT have Wi-Fi. There is NOT a wireless network interface that can connect to a wireless access point… like at Starbucks for example. It all goes through T-Mobile’s or whoever’s network.
2.) File transfer (pics, music, and video etc..)
Using the USB cable that came with the Behold, you can use it just like you would a USB thumb drive (aka Mass Storage Device). Simply copy the files to the appropriately named folder. Plug it in and your phone will pop up with 2 options, PC Studio or Mass Storage. Of course you can also use the FREE Samsung PC Studio software site to copy files and music. The Software is available for download on Samsung's site for free
3.) There is NO video calling. Didn’t you notice there is no front facing camera? Geez information age people gotta use some common sense LOL

                                        4.) Major Limitations
Samsung designed this to be used as a 3g modem for tethering. They even released a USB modem driver for it. What sucks is T-Mobile has disabled this feature due to “bandwidth issues” But when the salesman was trying to get me to buy it of course was a different story. Never again T-Mobile
3rd Party Java Apps are not supported. Again not Samsungs fault, but T-mobiles greedy bleeps trying to control everything. With a bit of hacking it can run most of the apps just fine. But those without the computer knowhow are stuck.
All in all Samsung mad a great phone. Too bad it has been locked and blocked until it is just an overpriced paperweight. Thanks greedy suits at T-Mobile!!
