Samsung 2022 tablet and smart wearable lineups leak
There are high expectations for Samsung heading into 2022 and it’s not just about the Galaxy S22 smartphones. We’ve been hearing plenty of rumors about the Galaxy Tab S8 series and we now have some leaked details on the tablet range as well as details on Samsung’s plans for new wireless earphones, smartwatches and laptops for 2022. As reported by TheElec Samsung’s wireless business division has apparently shared its business plans for 2022 with up to thirty major partners in South Korea revealing production plans and dates.
The info which was translated and put in a neat table by leakster FrontTron reveals four variants of the Galaxy Tab S8 with a Lite model, vanilla Tab S8, Tab S8+ and a top of the line Tab S8 Ultra. The premium Tab S8 members are scheduled to go into production sometime in Q2 2020 while the Lite model is expected to follow in Q4. Based on the info Samsung is looking to produce 1.6 million units of the Tab S8 Lite and 1.2 million units of the vanilla Galaxy Tab S8. The Plus and Ultra models should be made in smaller quantities at 900,000 and 400,000 units respectively.
We can also see two entry-level tablets in the mix with the Tab A8 and Tab A7 Lite scheduled to go into production between Q1 and Q4 2022 and in much larger quantities than the premium slates at 11 million units each.
In the smart wearables realm, Samsung is looking to produce 4.8 million units of the upcoming Galaxy Watch5 in Q4. The Galaxy Buds Pro2 and Buds Live2 are also expected sometime in the Q2-Q3 period. Samsung is looking to make 3.3 million units of the Buds Live2 and 3.1 million Buds Pro2.
