I purchase it a week ago.
It is good but it has a very small appstore with such a boring apps and games.
It would be best with android 2.3.5 (gingerbread)
or at least good apps like talking tom ,, angry birds should be on the appstore

this phone is good for those who are looking towards their first smartphone. but worst for those came after using android and symbiam phones. let me explain in detail.
OS: The worst os i have ever encounterd in my whole life. no applications and games available out of box and u cant get any from samsung store. some may say u wont use more than 10-20 apps, but i say u wont get even 5 good apps from samsung store.
i searched app store and never got any handy useful app.
Multimedia: I was a fan of android gallery and this ome also has same gallery.cool looks and arrangement according to folders. videos also comes under the folder name u give.
video player looks nice but doesnt suppport divx xvid mkv, but only mp4 and 3gp upto a resolution of 640*360.
fm radio interface is also good. one thing to notice is that u can record fm as this have a fm recorder inbuilt.
camera: nothing to joy. doesnt come much useful. 2mp camera of nokia 5230 is better than this. but comes with smile detection and panorama modes. at night u have to use ur emergency lamp to illuminate subject, no lad flash.
Video call camera is present. u can check it by dialling *#0*#.
screen is average quality might wonder first time touch users.
phone is light weight.
dolphin browser not much good for browsing
One thing that disappoinment me was no inbuilt navigatiom software. i tried to instal google map, but it doesnt support.
music player also follows android style. in landscape mode it tooks covert art display but lack of gpu makes it looks pixelated. sound quality is average.
file manager is good and comes handy. but symbian file manager is best.
smart dialing is present but searched according to phone number not based on name,which was irritating.
calls can be recorded,but u have to touch record icon inordr to record , no automatic record. call clarity is good.
The most irritating one is the message gallery. u have to touch a lot on the screen to get into the message u are looking. unlike symbian this does not have proper arrangment of sent,inbox, outox,drafts and saved message folders.
overall looking samsung wave Y is not best for most guys around there. I am using this phone since this sunday. And learned a lesson, never go for a BADA phone. worst set i have ever used.

Does this phone can do video chatting (like vtok,yahoomess etc for android),
Ya i know that 3g video calling is possible but asking for video chatting.
There is a app in bada website for "videochat",,pls someone try it guys..and review it pls...thank you

wave y is superb with its bada 2 os it has too many good apps than bada1 and the truth is yet bada 2 app race is not ended. jan 31 is the closing date after that i hope we can enjoy lot more apps and games.
