Samsung will offer several magnetic cases for the Galaxy S26 phones and an oddly-shaped battery

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series is expected to feature built-in magnets for Qi2 support, instead of just relying on magnetic cases like the S25 series. That’s the latest unofficial information, anyway. The new phones will still need magnetic cases, though.

Samsung will sell a number of first-party magnetic cases, most of which are available for all models, according to WinFuture. However, at least one case (the carbon one) will not support the Ultra for some reason. Here are the cases:

• Samsung Magnetic Carbon Case Black for Galaxy S26 and S26+
• Samsung Clear Case Transparent for Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra
• Samsung Magnetic Clear Case Transparent for Galaxy S26, S26+ & S26 Ultra
• Samsung Magnetic Rugged Clear Case Black for Galaxy S26, S26+ & S26 Ultra
• Samsung Magnetic Silicone Case for Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra (Black or Grey)
• Samsung Dual Magnetic Ring Holder for all models

Samsung is also making a 5,000mAh magnetic power bank that will pair with the phones and cases. It will be called the Magnetic Wireless Battery Pack (model number EB-U2500). NotebookCheck discovered that this battery has already been certified by the Wireless Power Consortium with support for Qi v2.1.0 MPP.

And... it looks a little weird. Most Qi batteries have a flat side that allows them to lie flat on the back of the phone (Qi-enabled phones have flat backs to ensure a snug fit). This one has cutouts above the coil ring.

Is this meant to fit a particular case? Or is it just avoiding the cameras on the Galaxy S phones, which are traditionally arranged in a column on the top left? iPhones and Pixels use a more horizontal layout that prevents the camera bumps from interfering with Qi batteries, chargers and stands.

Based on leaks, Samsung is not planning to redesign the cameras for the S26 generation. In fact, the Galaxy S26 may just reuse the S25 cameras.

On the plus side, the company will upgrade the wireless charging system with higher speeds – 25W for the S26 Ultra and 20W for the S26 and S26+ (up from 15W for all three models). This is thanks to the new Qi2 25W standard.

Naturally, Samsung has created a 25W wireless charger to go with that – the EP-P2900 (we haven’t found the certification for that one yet, however).
