Samsung will show what's new in wearables at its August 30 IFA event

Vlad, 28 August 2017

IFA is taking place later this week in Berlin, and as usual there will be plenty of mobile-related events. Samsung's is scheduled for August 30 at 6 PM local time, and today the Korean company took to Twitter to release its first teaser for the grand unveiling of its next wearable.

As you can see, the tweet clearly acknowledges that the event will be focused on showing the world what's new in that particular space, and intriguingly enough it will apparently reveal "your new normal", whatever that may mean.

The upcoming Gear Sport smartwatch was leaked a few days ago, and this is the prime candidate for becoming official this Wednesday. It should arrive with 50m water resistance (so you'll be able to swim with it worry-free), a round touchscreen, a heart rate monitor, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Tizen 3.0 as the OS of choice.
