Phone does not have any connectivity features like the irDA or the bluetooth. Also the piece does not display the onscreen messages like the ones used for checking the balance in prepaid phones and other onscreen queries to the service providers. The battery life also sucks, with very minimal talk time the battery drains out in less than a couple of days. Overall, not satisfied with the phone.

I don't know about other countries, but here in Romania it's very dificult to find a good phone at a decent price. X460 it's quite a good phone for it's price and I'm happy with it. It's perfect for whoever wants a reliable and elegant phone and does not care for high-tech gadgets such as camera/mp3-player/memory slot. Acoustics are good as well and the battery resists up to 3-4 days while speaking moderately. There is more that enough memory for a few rings and wallpapers, and rings u'll need because the ones pre-installed are pretty infantile.

Just got this phone today for 89.00 plus 25.00 worth of airtime vouchers. Great phone, I have one query though. In currency where is English pounds or am I missing something, would have thought it would be spelled as Eng or GBR.

                Pros:
                - looks great
                - small
                - simple (doesn't have a heap of crap you don't need)
                - cheap
                - love the ability to set recuring alarm clock
                - no annoying buttons that can be pressed by accident
                - keypad easy to use
                - there's a little cover to put over the charger insertion point so it doesn't get dust in it

                Cons:
                - Can't set recurring appointments like birthdays for example
                - I would really like just a normal ring tone! None of these annoying boppy tunes!
                - text size is large and you can't change it
                - there's a tone every time you change a setting or send a message and you can't turn it off (unless in quiet mode)

OK Amin we got your point, no need to repeat to repeat to repeat it several times....

I'll agree with you part of the way in general, but not with this specific model. It's among the lightest and smallest fliphones with internal antenna ever!
And look what they managed to squeeze into that... See also the coming enhanced version of it: E340

The shape and feel of this phone in your hand is no less than fantastic. Like a smooth stone or a comfortable piece of soap. Many times in the month I used it (until it was 'conquered' by a girlfriend) I actually couldn't help playing with it in my hand, just for the feel.

But sure - as all samsung phone I know of - the software is highly in need of a brush-up.

And sure we always wants more features in the phones...

But for size, it might get thinner, but in widht and height it's getting down to a size where it shouldn't be much smaller not to be difficult to handle for a large hand. But still there are a lot of women with small hands, so for that specific market, sure a cm less would'nt be that bad.

I'll hope that Samsung will one day learn to place the internal antenna right!! That is by the microphone like the Motorola V3:
Better reception when the head is not blocking much smaller portion than half the field, and thus prolonged talk time, and as an extra benifit less braintoasting BOTH due to lesser sending effect needed AND the further distance from the antenna to the brain. Theoretiaclly you will reduce the effect by a factor of eight every time you double the distance.

As hardware, my optimal phone shape would be like the V3 shrinked in widht and height to 70x35. Smooth and round like the X460.
My guess: In one or two years...

nah all samsung flips are the same and their getting boring now. It was ok a year ago when the e700 first came out but now samsung are gettingm pretty desperate making rehashes of the same model but just including or taking away infrared or a USB port or a camera or TFT or UFB screen but just making the shape of flip phone a little different than the last. This is just like a e330 but instead it has TFT and a slighty different screen or like the X460 but with a camera etc. They should change their software up a bit so you can have ring and vibrate at the same time and get rid of them annoying warning tones include bluetooth in some of their flips and infrared that actually works for once before they do anything else. nah all samsung flips are the same and their getting boring now. Hi again folks, i've had this phone for a month or so now - still thinks it's really good and i wouldn't change my mind. It's everything you need from a phone and it's a lot cheaper than some. In answer to one question, yes it feels very robust like most samsungs - the flip top isn't floppy and it doesn't feel like it will fall apart. It is light, ye, but strong.
Good phone, all necessary basic features and looks damn good.
Again, any qu's please e-mail me

75gr weight for a not so small phone might mean it hasn't got a lot of material to hold it together, or that it is made from very strong materials. Anyone can tell me if it feels robust?
Another question: its 2-bands, and no speakerphone (I don't care about camera), so isn't it a bit restricted in terms of functionality, in comparison with, say, Moto V180?

Stupid enough.. A non-camera phone with 8 mb memory but only 0.5mb for java games. Would be better if it had a bluetooth or even a "usable" infrared, i think most of the samsung user should know what i meant.
