The default phone password is 00000000 (8 zeros), but if you have changed it maybe there is no way to recover it, unless you get to remember ...

are you sure you haven´t been messing around with codes like *#something*otherthing# ??
In general, this practice may screw the phone, any phone, and the solution is to look for technical assistance (sometimes a bit expensive!!!)

I am very disapointed with this phone. It was good at first but after about three months of usage it just start acting up. I am unable to send a call at the 1st, 2nd,3rd......attempt. If the call happens to go through the connection well be terminated after a couple seconds. The screen goes blank, the phone turns itself off and on! Can this problem be solved?

hi,i had zis fone for a while,n now i hav a problm,zer's nthin in the MMS but in ze memory status it says that the MMS is using more than 2500 kb,its taking me on my nerves as the fone has only 3000 kb,if someone know how to directly format the memory please tell me or send me an e-mail on Jaabir105@hotmail.com...thanks!!

just go into menu-sound setings and choose power off. It should still ring but it will turn off things like keyboard and startup tones.

answer to the questions below:
1- Yes, this phone has infrared.
2- No, you can't turn off those annoying sounds (it gets on my nerves, too...)
It is a very nice phone. I have it as a second phone and it does just a great job being 'only a phone with no fancy extras'.

hey, can any one help me with this problem .. Everytime I select certain options, delete messages, exite from wap.. it makes this annoying sound/melody. I've searched all the menus and checked the manual, but I still no clue to turn off.

the phone is a geat phone but it reall annoys me that is can't read mp3 format or even worst cannot set amr formats as ringtone
i can't transfer a GIF/picture which exceeds 200KB when the phone's memory is 3MB how stupid or even install games via irDa.i do love the volume of the phone its excellent and what a great idea to include radio tuner.picture quality is great n i would love if not only pictures taken at mobile size fill the screen. try n improve the faults i found.and for the person if u put the phone on silent u will not hear that annoying sound as u say.big us SAMSUNG you are the greatest brand and believe it or not your phones are durable.

I had purchased the handset. It had a wonderful look and was elegant. But i have been facing certain problems with the handset like
1>The cell hangs up sometimes.
2>The the call sometimes does not end immediately as i press the Red button rather takes more than 5 seconds to end the call.
2>The battery back up is a bit weak.

The nice ting b0ut diz f0ne iz the picture quality taken in its VGA CAM its quit impresiv f0r entry clamshel f0ne. It cn take picture quit fast its lyk hav autof0cus wer pic hav quality even ur hand quit shaky.

Well, i purchased this cell-phone about 6 months back,it was confusing to use at first(as i had a nokia & its control buttons are opposite to that of samsung),but once i got used to it i found it to be a very user-friendly cell-phone.One can take about 55 photos...of good quality,but it does not support videos,but all in all its an amazing set for all ages,Am quite satisfied with my purchase.

you can transfer stuff from other phones, not only from a pc. And it works really well, I'm always using it to transfer from a SE k700.

I saw this phone a fewhours ago at a cheap price. But I wanna know. Can I transfer things from my other phone to this phone trough Irda??? Or it only works with pc
