HI, I am regularly visiting this site for clearing my doubts about X700. This forum is very active and going on...

My X700 is started giving me a trouble. There is some distortion(lines)in the LCD display while holding on or slight shaking in the hands. I could not get any solution for this problem. Can anybody give some help please.

with Thanks

DESIDUDE, CB messages are usually flashed directly on the screen! i wonder why you get an alert for this.( I get the cell name displayed on the screen) When this alert is on your screen, can you read the actual cb message (name of cell you are in)in 'temporary folder' of broadcast msgs?
Anyway, try this also. Instead of Enable all, enable cb message through CHANNEL 50 ONLY. Give channel code/number as 50 and the title you like, mark it, save and get the reception on.

      To Desidude:
You can't remove this “New CB (50)" line. To see the area name in standby mode, you just need to click the “CB” option on lower right corner of screen.... and you must click on “CB” option to see the area location! While CB means “Cell Broadcast”.

DESIDUDE; (Read below post also) Go to Usman's website..x700 page..related software. the mptrim software is very useful in increasing volume of mp3 tones. I got good results.

                DESIDUDE;
Hope the reset code suggested by Usman will help you.

By the way, which method did you try? If it is audio settings..normal..Rx vol, and change values of 5 levels, then it is used to change earpiece volume of conversation. The right method is to go to IIS Normal and increase 'ear gain'. I did it in D900, got the result and many others did. It definitely increases the ring and sms volume considerably in D900, but I fear it doesn't work in x700. After the success in d900, I tried it in my sister's X700, but there the eargain and hfr gain were same values(in D900 default eargain was 13 and hfr 15, we increased eg to 15)So i dropped the attempt in x700. You can also get the original values from another x700 user and reset.
Plese go to d900 page and enter 8999 in the search opinion box, the first two the search results are an enquiry by Ali and my reply for him. Also search for 'Ear gain', you can see Ali's reply also after the attempt. Please read it.
(Anybody trying these methods are cautioned that these are not officially recommended by samsung)

                  To usman

again thanks a lot for your timely help...i got back my original setting without resetting ....just i put ear gain value more than normal ear gain value.

now i got the clear sound of ringing tone when i am dialing others.

By the way usman i saw u in forum2.mobile-review.com

thanks a lot dude for helping others in there also. what about new poly ring tones in your website ?

and one more request / suggestion....whenever u r updating your website kindly put a remark where u r updating / adding new stuffs etc....
                  to avoid unnecessary search .

                  thanks a lot.
if i get any problem i will surely follow your resetting code.

thnks a lot and good day.

To Desidude: Enter this full reset code *2767*3855# in standby mode which will restart your mobile. This will return actual settings including audio settings. It doesn't delete any installed java game but you will lose internet settings, pics of photo folder, favourite images, phonebook of phone's memory (not in SIM), FM channels name etc. It does not delete any file of your memory card. To usman and rajesh

                        i badly required your help.

in order to increase my mp3 volume suggested in d900 forum, i used secret audio setting.(*#8999*8378#)but after that my incoming calls are coming in a very low voice.i am not able to hear properly what the other person is speaking.

is there any default value available so that again i can change my settings.
if not what are the other possible method ....without going for reset.

now i have already downloaded no of games and appn in my x700 ...if i reset will it be erased ?

what i sud do now ? i dont know how to do resetting.

please guide me how to increase the incoming call voice.

                            To rajesh

yeah...it seems i wud buy this and in chennai ( india ) where i stay it is (d900)available for rs 13,500/- with box pack.

my friend bought it one week back after reading your views here in d900 section and seeing this i was totally satisfied.

i like the great look , and feather touch of the phone .

now i have decided to go for it after giving my x700 to my wife.

one more thing , can we get more no of games and applications like s series phones.

once again thax for the info....d900 got the best gsm mobile award this year.

i regulalrly come to this forum and usman is so nice to answer all the quries like u in d900 forum.

why not both u people join together and develop the usman website for d900 as suggested by usman.

                            To usman

thanks dude...u r always as usual helping me and others in this forum. i have download a no of games and applications in my x700 successfully.

Also so many movies i have downloaded and saved in my memory card. i use NCP make 1 gb memory card which i purchased for Rs 550/- from chennai market.

anyway thanks a lot to u both and hope that u both jointly wud develop the website already created by Usman for d900.

usman if u dont mind ( without your support nothing can be done )

and i will try to post in no of forums about your website for support.

                            goodday and all the best.

DESIDUDE; Yes. I'm the same Rajesh and I'm using a D900. I appear here because X700 was one of my previous phones. But while I was using x700, this site hadn't come to my notice! i wanted full-screen videos and a little more clear audio so i upgraded to X-820 and it had no mem card so finally came to d900. So as an ex-user of this handset I occasionally visit these pages. And i got a great help from Usman here, the guide for usb-java installation(works for D900 also)

The d900 is a high-end phone.(in features and price). The features of x700 are projected to another dimension in it. Excellent camera, wonderful, big display, stylish slim-slider design, easily supports 1GB (and even 2GB), digitally amplified music with 4 equalisers(relevant when using headset), bluetooth version 2.0, friendly and beutiful(black/white )GUI, etc,,etc..and the unique and intelligent Samsung features like Living world theme, vivid sms, U-menu....(you can get info abt these things using the search opinion box in the D900 opinion page)
For any enquiry about D900, just make a post in D900 opinion page and you will get help from me and many others.
Value for money is what I can say about x700. But I'm not sure about whether d900 comes within your budget. Its a high-end phone the price is different in various countries and it depends on the contents of pack also.
The negatives of d900 are no FMradio, and the common defects of samsungs like no customisation of sms tones, etc.
                                  regards, Rajesh.

                                    To Sunny:
Please use "MPEG4 Direct Maker" software for making MP4 videos. For info about how to get and use this, go to this link:

                                    http://usmanafzal.110mb.com/related_softwares.htm

Every file that i have made through this software, has audio that is fully matched with video.

                                    To Desidude:
Thanks for your request. Please wait few days more!
You cannot view full screen videos on your X700. And D900 can play full screen videos with bigger screen display (as mentioned by Rajesh). Infact, my next phone will be D900. You should go for Samsung D900. I will also give support for Samsung D900 on my website soon!
