I'm using X700 since 7 years & it is working properly yet.I'm so happy to say I've seen so many new mobiles in the market , but this was the only one I got with everything I needed like answer machine , mp3 player , unlimited quality video , GPRS..etc with such px.

Hi Frnds...I purchased This phone around 5 years ago... it was working fine...No such a great phone....It was just as usual one and now the Display of the phone is gone and its not available in the market...it was not worth Money...but not too bad as well...since it was my first camera phone....i was happy...i will give this phone 6/10...Good Luck

i have been using this set since 4 years, but now its LCD is not working properly, becomes dull,i feel much difficulty reading msgs....im gonna change it now...gonna buy samsung c3200

I am using this phone for last 5 years. Now battery is showing its weakness and charger is also creating a problem. Would anybody inform whether we get original charger/battery for this mobile.

I love this phone. I have been using it since 4 years now. I like its functionality and its robustness. designed to last and I hope it does not dissapoint me after having written this review. It is fancy too...plays music, video, good still image camera, and pretty elegant design.

Anonymous, 20 May 2010need battery for this mobile in india No original battery is available now but if you are in Mumbai you can get one (China make) in Manish market for Rs 350. No bargain price but it works good and I have been using it for 8 months and no problem but now my display has gone bad and so I can not use it any more

i have been using this set called x700 for last 3 years!!! i have had a great experience using this cell as in its range it provides almost all the required features that one would imagine. its camera which is 1.3 mega pixel is much much superior than other 1.3 mega pixel cameras avaialable in similar range nokia sets. on the other hand keeping the samsung legacy this set also has a colorful display!! another worth mentioning feature of this good set is the answering machine!! if you don't wanna pick up calls you can just turn it to answering machine and you can hear the recorded calls later!! cool!! in short.... i have had good 3 years with this set!! its thet one to have if you are lookin for not so expensive yet purposeful cell phone...

yusuf, 19 Apr 2009Its a good phone, personally I've been using it for the las... morei'm totally agree with u. mine is 3 years old.never change battery (have to charge almost everyday as i use it for talking everyday since nov 2008) earfone is still gud as i'm not using it occasionally. now my lcd screen is going to blow anytime soon. got line when i open picture gallery also in a wallpaper.
i bought this phone in dec 2006 for RM699 (Malaysia ringgit) plus 512mb memory card. recently go to phone shops to survey for a new phone. now X700 price is RM399 plus 1gb memory card. RM100 decreased per year. quite gud rite? bdw corby & star 3g/preston by SAMSUNG are on my mind now (^_^)
drawbacks maybe:-
1) standard msg alert tone. YES! NO CUSTOMIZATION FOR THE MSG TONE! (SAMSUNG may figure it out - it's quite annoying to hear same song everyday for what? 50 times/day)
2) camera lacks of flash but better than motorolla V3x which is 2mp. maybe better than some nokia's fone in that time too. BELIEVE ME!
3) sound may not too loud on speaker but gud enough with an earphone.
4) no profile for this phone.
5) limited to 200 msgs in message folder. msg cannot be transfered to memory card.
other than that, 2 thumbs up for this phone. personally i feel this phone is one of the best in its time! tq. :)

Deepak, 21 Nov 2009can v hide any files in my samsung x700yeah....The only good thing or advantage of SAMSUN x700 is, the built in Device Lock software i.e you can protect gallery. messages and memory card. Software is good, CAM result is fine but very poor result of sound/ringer/mp3 and over all, its speaker and sound system is crap.
This phone is only good as an additional mobile phone.

keep the songs on memory card and add them to MP3 playlist...that way you can fwd frm one 2 another
To do this:
1. Go inside memory card
2. Select the song
3. Click options
4. Select option (3)Add to playlist
Now open MP3 player
1.Click the top most button on the touchpad
2.You will see the song in the list. Click to play the song from the same list everytime
No need to go to memory card & you can also move fwd and backward

it is agood fone, iam having 1 problom about mp3, when i listen the song from memory card, i can not forward from one to another & fone memory is too low to listen all the songs of memory card, when ishifted songs from memory card to fone memory after 40 to 50 songs the fone memory is full, please solve my problom
