    Don't know whats the problem,
    I can record calls with out no problems.
    What is Your firmware/software version (press *#1234#).
    My soft ver. is X700XEFA1 , it latest.

          My Samsung X-700 has horizontal lines appearing on the Screen.. when I took this to the customer care they said its normal... IS IT TRUE..??..

              When i upload an AAC song into the phone it is not played by the phone and a message appears saying unsupported content.
              Has anyb one else encountered the same problem .pls repy A S A P

                Yes, you can record calls.
                You have to type #*22671# to start recording
                and #*22672# to stopp recording.
                It will be saved as ENGMODE.arm to Sound->Voice list.

                  Go into phone settings then US setings and select MASS STORAGE.After this when u will connect to ur PC throgh the Data Cable ,ur mobile will be shown as seperae Drive in the PC.U can then copy anything into it no time

                    1. can this phone be used for recording phone conversation, and then transferring the audio file to PC(THIS IS available in many other phones)

                        Does it set when use camera to take photo or video that it can direct save in memory card??? It means directly to save in card that not in phone memory. Also, this phone has a stereo speaker on the phone body??? Many thanks.

                              i actualy have this phone, and let me tell your that is a very good phone and it's louder than 6230i, and about sek700 you'd better by sony ericsson k750i

                                I just bought this phone.Its perfect.Sound is really good and so is the display.Usage is not the most flexible,but a fast wonderful set.
                                I want to know can we set any mp3 tone as message alert,or only the ones in the phone.

                                  To Asim k:
                                  Samsung X700 is better among SE K700i and motorola L7. Both K700/L7 have VGA camera (640 x 480 pixels) while X700 has 1.3 MP camera. The phone memory of SE K700i is 41MB with no memory card slot which is a big disadvantage. Whereas, FM radio is absent in L7 and phone memory is 11MB in L7 (with free user memory of 6.5MB)but it supports 1GB microSD memory card While X700 has 35MB phone memory with support of 1GB microSD card.
                                  All these supports 3gp video recording. In SE K700i , when playing mp3/video files, you cannot rewind/forward the files which is not good. You cannot use bluetooth headset in L7/SE K700i for mp3 files since this is only available in samsung X700.
                                  In X700, you can put password on sensitive media folders (like images,videos,sounds etc) which is absent in SE K700i/L7.
                                  In SE K700i , both FM radio and mp3 player can be minimised whereas in X700, only FM radio can be minimised.
                                  In X700, you can use usb mass storage option to directly drag/drop files to your pc or pc to phone without using any external software. This great option is absent in SE K700i and L7. So, overall X700 is a well balanced phone with price lower than L7 and almost same price as SE K700i.
                                  I think samsung X700 is more user friendly than SE K700i/L7. My previous phone was SE K700i amd now I am using X700.

                                    To BB:
                                    You can use other functions of phone , when using FM radio since it can be used in background. But you cannot use any other function when using MP3 player because it cannot be minimised.
                                    To Jayjit:
                                    In case you have not wap connection, you can still download applications/games to your phone. Go to http://www.getjar.com from your PC, and download softwares to your computer (jad/jar files) . Then transfer these files to java world….. downloads folder of your phone using USB port.

                                      Mubarak has told about downloading software files from WAP. I do not have WAP connection at Jamshedpur. Then can I use Internet and install the same via USB or Samsung PC studio Version 3?
