you cannot remove time stripe.but you can adjust wallpaper between time stripe menu by selecting 1024*768 image.but although it is not completely between time stripe and menu.

I have two question can some body tell me how to remove time from the screen so that wallpaper can be seen on the full screen if this is not possible than tell me the file resolution so that the wallpaper start after time and end before the menu text.

It doesnot support,bmp and gif files, does support additional applications, it is very very non flexible mobile phone, nokia is much more better in quality and flexibility

i bought this phone yestersay..i think this cell is awsome .camera quality is very goog..the sound is nice & the fm option is very cool all in one phone at low price..if ur are thinkin dont think just go for it..........

This is Adeel Hasan from Karachi, Pakistan.
I have a couple of queries to start off, regarding Samsung X-700.
a) Can we install MSN Messenger (Agile Messenger) in this phone?
b) Does this cell, limits Internet surfing at any point? I am using Nokia 3230, and there are certain sites such as http://gmail.com , which this cell does not support at all.
So, is there any restriction of this sort at Samsung X-700?
Please answer the queries.

Just bought the phone.Everything is good as if yet.Just bought it last night.But there is a problem which i consider as a serious disadvantage,i fail to recieve picture message via SMS on this phone from nokia or sony ericcson,although those 2 are compatible with each other on this issue.Is there anyway i can make it compatible for such picture messages?

you can play video in quite mode, and it will ask you if you want to play sound in quiet mode as well. Try please. I recorded video clip and tried it. It works after asking me if I want to play sound on quiet mode.

your review is helpful for others but there are cons which you have mentioned is not true
1.bluetooth works with any mobile phone i have tried with nokia6600,6681,6630.you should establish bluetooth from other phone if not working then establish connection from x700 .this is true that sometimes bluetooth doesnt work because some mobiles dont support security code verification which is necessary when establishing connection with x700
3.i have got sandisk microsd 64 mb card
5.video recording is good if shoot in ideal conditions
but you have forgotten to mention one cons:-

yes you can see memory card with pc studio 3
but i would suggest you not to use bluetooth nor usb to transfer files.there is a method which supercharge your transfer from pc to mobile.
1.menu-setting-phone settings-usb settings-mass storage
2.connect usb data cable to pc.
3.now you can see a new drive in your my computer.
4.just copy files from pc to mobile
transfer time for 9.45 mb file=4-5 seconds .enjoy

I think this is X700‘s software problem that it cannot play in full screen mode. But anyway, you can remove borders (cinemascope) from mpeg format movie by using Flask Mpeg Encoder. This is freeware and can be downloaded from http://flaskmpeg.sourceforge.net . You can also convert DVDs to other video formats like DivX (avi mpeg4) by this software and thanks for your valuable comments on this site.

I am using this fone for about 2 weeks and i found it to be wonderful with hardly any disadvantage or shortcomings...
I have two queries which i would like any one to resolve:
1. My fone doesnt play AAC format... Can anyone help me in finding out the reason for that.
2. I want to know how to install java games on it...

Man!! This phone rocks. I'had bought this phone last week and just love it's rich features.though there r some con's too
cons-
1. bluetooth seems not to work with other handsets
2. typing a messege gives pain to your fingers
3. no memory card provided
4. not symbian
5. vedio recording not quite good
pros-
1. all in all in min. price
2. brilliant display
3. good sound
4. small and light in weight
5. good quality of body cover
close your eyes and go for this phone if you are low on budget and want all the features

I think Motorola ROKR E1 has an edge over X700 in music sound quality but E1 also has some disadvantages like:
When playing mp3 from iTunes, it is very slow responding phone. It has no FM radio/EDGE. It supports 512MB microSD card and internal memory is only 11MB. It’s Camera is VGA (640 x 480). So keep this in mind before making any decision.
