I also heard the there is a defect in most of the pink ones. But why the pink ones??
Dunno, colour shouldnt have anything to do with it because that the colour of the casing.
So for all you people out there who like pink, well fear not, for there are other colours even if it is true (unlikely).
I prefer the orange one.

Same, when i saw this phone i just wanted it. But I keep my mobiles for a long time so I don't want something that is gonna wreck in the 1st month or so. I finally saved up enough to get it, so I think I'll go for it.

I,ve had this phone for about nine month.
I change phones very often because I always spot a hipper one(Ireally like special phones that stand out)
When I saw this one I had to have it, and unlike other times I want to keep this one , i still love my little phone.
So I would say: Go for it!
About your questions;The sound quality is NOT bad, I think its really good When you use the programmed ringtones they are a not really loud enough, but you can use a loud song for ringtone, and its oke.
The phone does not lock when opened, but that does not really matter, its not hard to handle at all.
You have to be a bit carefull with the scrollwheel, it scrolls fat enough, but after a few mont I had to press a bit harder to get it funcion when use it as leftwards or upwards, but not too bad, it still works oke.
The text on screen being too big...., no that,s defenitly not true.
its just normally easy to read your messages.
I still would not want to trade my phone for another, and I use the mp3 a lot!
With the bluetooth headset the sound is super!

Just wondering if anyone could straighten this out? I would really like this phone but Ive heard that its not that good. For example ... the sound quality is bad, its doesnt lock when its open so it is very hard to handle, the scroll wheely thing damages and doesnt scroll fast enough, the text on screen is too big and makes it hard to read messages... these are just a few. I very much like this phone, i like the features and how it looks, but i dont want to get a phone that is hard to use and can easily get wrecked. Can anyone say that they have got this phone and all the bad ratings are not true or not as bad as they seem to be? Ill be checking up on what people say because i am interested. Thanx (",)

i have had this phone for about two months. my first samsung, i always use to have nokia's. kinda funky except the sound is not so hot (loud). the girls absolutely love it. it has become a babe magnet. the girls in my office calls it the "tampon" phone.

I'm sorry to hear that you lost it... No worries though. I just found out (after digging through various websites) that the SGH-F210 will be released on September 17. I kinda wish I waited for that one instead. But it's all good. Maybe I'll sell my X830 and get the F210 when it comes out.

hey this is a great phone. I loved it, i got the pink one, nice camera, very cool mp3 options and 1G memory was very handy. I didn't need a separate mp3. the only problems may have been the tiny screen. but overall this was a very funky phone. too bad i lost it -.-;

I love this phone, for sure! I ordered one already - I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I've been wanting this phone for many months. I'm mostly interested in its size and its camera. I already have an iPOD so I don't exactly need a music player. It's very unique and I find it very satisfying.

My sister is getting this phone but i think it's too thin. She has to keep it until grade 8 but i don't think the phone is the right phone for her. She wants it in pink is wat matters most!!! Is this the right phone for her???

This Phone looks so cool
and im thinking about getting one, but im not to sure . could anybody help me because i wanted to know weather the keypad is easy to use or does it take a long time to get used too?? And i no 1 GB is alot but how many song roughley would it hold ???

hey i saw a pic of the orange one of these and it looks really wiked but none of the phone shops show it in orange. Has anyone seen it? does it look really tacky in real life?
Also, I already have a 30g Ipod so i dont really need another mp3 player. Is this predominantly an MP3 player or a phone? It looks really cool but i dont want to waste money paying for something i dont need if i could get a better phone for the same price.
