matt, 14 Feb 2009well i got my samsung Z170 for christmas but i dunno how do... morehi matt, i had the same problem too, but i resolve it when i reinstall samsung PC suit again, first of all u mast install the disc and after that u mast connect your phone cable into usb hub and computer will recognize phone automatically. sorry for bad eng. :)

    well i got my samsung Z170 for christmas but i dunno how do i get songs from my computer onto my phone. like i plug the cord thingy into my phone and into the computer but the computer doesnt recongnize it or sumthin. because i go on wmp and click on sync but it says connect a device. so can sum1 please help me on how to transfer songs from my computer onto my phone? this help will be much appreciated

            Each game should have a jar and a jad file.
            First you need to put your jar and jad files in one folder and save it under Local Disk (C ).

            1. Download Driver & File Explorer from
            (http://forum.gsmhosting.com/vb...p?t=609664).

            2. Uncompress (or extract to) SAMSUNG_Composite_USB_Driver and execute Setup.exe.
            3. Connect phone to PC. First time you should be prompted with a 'device installed and ready' message.
            4. Execute TkFileExplorer_2.2.exe
            5. Go to Settings - COM.
            6. Scroll down Port window: You should get just one COM option. Choose it and press OK.
            7. Go to File - Connect. You should see the File System Tree at TkFileExplorer bottom half side.
            8. Go to /Exe/Java or you can go to Media/Games.
            9. At TkFileExplorer upper side open Local Disk ( C ) and select JAD/JAR folders which you have saved previously and drag and drop them under Java or under Game folder.
            10. Then under File menu choose disconnect then exit.
            11. Dial *#6984125*# on your phone. This will open the 1.software version, 2. pre-configuration, 3. network and call settings, 4. internals
            12. Choose Internals (Master Key: *#9072641*#)
            13. Go to Storage Settings and select Update Media database, Update Java DB and Update application database.
            14. Open the games folder in your phone and start the game!

            Enjoy! ...and save money!

            NOTE 1:
            You do not need to change Samsung USB mode to Qualcomm. Leave it at its default Samsung mode (if you do not understand this just do nothing )

            Note 2:
            Be careful!
            Once you are inside TkFileExplorer dont delete any built-in folders as this may damage your phone. Also before physically disconnecting the cable from your phone, disconnect it first from the File menu

            Note 3:

            If the game has only a jar file, you have to make a jad file from the jar file by using the java maker which you can download from (http://www.softpedia.com/get/I...Maker.shtml)
            All you have to do is to drag the jar file into the "Make Jad" window and a jad file will appear in the desktop.

                    akatsuki, 07 Jan 2009can be read mpeg4 video? yes/noi transfered a mp4 data from bluetooth and the z170 can't read it. it said unsupported resolution.

                        Do you know where I can get operator settings for Brunei? Because I've tried *#6984125*# Open 2)pre-configuration and enter the operator code *#73561*# but there's no option for Brunei. Can you help me? I really need this to be able to access the internet from my z170. thanks.

                                for the price of z170, this is the cheapest 3G phone in market, and today i have problem with it, after 1yr+ since i bought it, the keypad backlight keep blinking when the phone goes to standby mode, anybody know whats wrong with my z170
