If you get error messages when sending MMS, you'll need to call O2 to make sure your iMode APN has been provisioned. iMode phones do *everything* via iMode, so just make sure it's active.
On the memory card front: how many GB can this take? Can it take more than 1GB? 2GB OR 4GB for example?

To all of you that have problems with setting the mp3's as ringtones, people have answered it at least ten times in this forum. Why don't you read first before you go on whining? It's quite simple, PC Studio does everything. You don't need to download anything or do anything else. Just connect the phone to the pc, open PC Studio and Transfer files, then find the song you want, and choose the option Convert to aac. It should be on the top menu somewhere, and if not, you can right-click on the song and do it. You can even convert videos and movies to mp4 format and play them. I have loaded a video clip and it plays fine.
To the guy that asked about the memory card, I have installed a 1 Gb card, and the phone works fine. You can load songs or videos there, add them to the playlist, etc. It's great, I recommend it.

To convert your music files to aac (yes, aac takes up much less space), go to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/dmc.htm and download dBpowerAMP Music Converter. After installing the application, go to http://www.dbpoweramp.com/codec-central-mp4.htm and download the following codecs
mp4 & AAC Decoder
Pystel mp4 Encoder
FAAC mp4 Encoder
AAC Codec (The others are optional, but this ons is required to convert to aac)
AAC >> Mp4 & Mp4 >> AAC Codec
After downloading and installing these, open the music converter and choose the files to convert. Then choose "Advanced Audio Coding" codec and choose a quality setting. The settings "Radio, Tape, Internet, etc." are variable bit rate options. You can choose a fixed bit reat as well, but VBR takes up less space. I convert all of my mp3s higher than 96 kbps to "Tape" bit rate. There is no significant quality change and the size is usually the half of the original mp3 file, depending on the length and the bitrate of the song.
However, it's best if you try different settings and compare their sound quality and size yourself.
For some reason, some of the songs can't be converted using the AAC codec. In that case, I convert that song to mp4 using one of the mp4 encoders and after that I use "AAC >> Mp4 & Mp4 >> AAC Codec" to convert them to aac. I'm not making two conversions, though.
aac and mp4 formats are actually the same, but they have some identification differences and this codec changes the identification of an mp4 file to an aac file and it only takes a second or so.

Making the signal work
i got the samsung z650i yesterday and i charged it and there was no signal for hours, so what i did was went to settings, and then scrolled down to master reset and typed in the password (which for o2 ppl is 00000000) and then i think the phone had to reboot itself, of turned off and i turned it back on. from then, the signal has been fine *touch wood!*
You could try this and see if it works!
but its really also annoying how you can't see the time or if u have any messages/missed calls on ur phone when it is closed! anyone know how to change this ?!?!?!?

I got my samusung z650i in febuary for my birthday. Its aload of rubbish i was gona get the Sony ericcison cybershot instead but 02 insisted i got the samsung. They said it was a better phone so on my birthday i found out wat a load of rubbish. The only way to get a gd ringtone is to put a video into your playlist on the media player and click play then go to options whiile your playing it and it should say set as then you set it as something. I h8 this fone and because im on a contract ive gota wait till february again till i can get a new 1 im SO ANOYED

You can set mp3s as ringtones. When you install the software and put an mp3 on the phone, put it in the 'ringtones' folder on your phone, then you are set to go. Easy as pie!

iv had the Z640i for nearly a month now n stil dnt no how 2 use mp3 files as a ringtone, its kinda anoying as most fones are able to do this wiv out any hassel. could sum1 email me as to what i have to do pls, would be much appreciated, thanks Kym x

So happy i am back with samsung! another good phone, slick design just enough features, message sending process is a bit drawn out, but hey, its not perfect, but its as near as your going to get. cheers samsung!

When the phone is closed the screen goes blank and it is impossible to see if you have a message or missed call at a glance unless you open it. Is there any way of changing this?
