Samsung's new PRO Endurance microSD cards excel in reliability

Ro, 03 May 2018

Samsung just announced its PRO Endurance lineup of microSD cards that aim to deliver 25 times better endurance compared to its speed-oriented PRO EVO cards. The PRO Endurance family should meet the requirements for reliable storage used for intensive video monitoring, surveillance and dash cams.

The microSD cards come in three sizes - 32GB, 64GB and 128GB promising up to 100 MB/s of sequential read and 30 MB/s of sequential write speeds. All three variants are also rated differently depending on their endurance. For instance, the 128GB model will give you 43,800 hours of video recording, the 64GB model is rated at 26,280 hours while the smallest one tops at 17,520 hours.

They are also UHS-I Speed Class 1 and Class 10 compatible and can survive in pretty harsh conditions - from -25 up to 85 degrees Celsius, they are IPX7 certified and also X-Ray and magnetic-proof.

The MSRP of the 32GB version is $24.99, the 64GB will set you back $44.99 while the largest 128GB card costs $89.99. Limited warranty applies for all of them - 2, 3 and 5 years respectively.

Why when I save to sd card then delete from phone is the pic gone from ad card as well. Isn't that the point of the card, to free up phone space ? What am I doing wrong?

They're also meant, for, maybe, people with dashcams, instead of for phones.
