Samsung's S Translator is following S Voice into the sunset, will shut down on December 1

Remember S Translator? It was introduced with the Galaxy S4 back when Samsung was trying to offer its own apps as alternatives to Google software, including things like the S Voice digital assistant.

S Voice was shut down on June 1 of this year and its friend S Translator will meet the same fate on December 1. Samsung sent out notifications to users that the service will be discontinued.

The company suggests that you can use Bixby when you need something translated. The oft-maligned digital assistant previously also took over S Voice. Of course, you can use any of the several translation apps available in the Google Play Store and the Galaxy Store as well.

Back then you could have a conversation with the phone. But it all changed with s6. Then it ended just like today. I'll look that up for you. Samsung lost their unique touch after s5.

I use the translator occasionally. Ideally it should be integrated into Samsung Browser like on Chrome whereby you can set it to automatically translate.
