kristel, im just having second thought if i really have to flash my fone. if it will not affect some features of the phone, maybe i will be convinced to upgrade it. i can send to U some of mmf tones that i made. it sounds good. please giv me ur email add....

i have no idea about that? havent flashed mine yet.. juz gathered some infos on how and where to flashed.. but i'm lookin' forward, flashing my fone to uk version but for now im quite contented.. would you mind sending your mmf tones? are they loud and clear? thanks noel!

Thanks kristel!...can i just ask, aside from it can play mp3 when flashing to UK firmware, have you noticed some changes in your phone? how about the screen? games? ive seen an upgraded phone of 802 from my friend and the screen was not clear. bdway, i have here some mmf file mostly opm songs. i can send if U want....

to play mp3s, your fone must be flashed to UK firmware.. and it will only cost you 600 pesos, you can have it flashed infront of ever recto(morayta arcade xhibit) or greenhills..

Hi Kristel!..have U tried upgrading your phone at greenhills?. i've heard that they can upgrade this phone for you to play MP3. they will charge you up to 1k pesos... my phone cannot play MP3 and im planning to go there. thanks.

Upgrading the 802SH

It can't be guaranteed that all GPRS/UMTS features will ever fully work on the 802SH.
- Networks need to whitelist the phone
- Phone needs to be compatible with current settings.
Flashing the Phone to the UK Firmware will enable you to play MP3's, though you can listen to MP4's on the Jap.
SeTOOL is a popular tool to use when upgrading the firmware. There are also online services available that may be of use:

SKATER 42 your back!... thanks for the info. ive been using the Japanese firmware and i cant play MP3. Is there a possibility to convert this to UK firmware? what software will be used?..i've played only MP3 ringtones in this phone using MMF file.thanks in advance!!!

You cannot use the 3G features in foreign networks. MP3's cannot be played, though MP4 (M4A) can.
Everyone with the UK FIRMWARE

MP3's can be played, not sure about M4A. I never got mine to work on a GPRS/3G network so I really can't give too much info on it.

hi... u can convert ur mp3 file to .mmf extension but the file size must be less than 400kb in order for the phone to play the file .mmf
anyway, anyone knows wats the original phone lock key ah? i tried, 0000, 1111, 1234, 0123 it cant work... any ideas?
