If you are interested on Sharp phones, don't be sad even for a minute, because Sharp will enter in the global markets,with Panasonic and Nec too. Look Toshiba is already in the European markets, now the other big companies will enter too. Maybe at MWC Sharp will announce an 1GHZ CPU 3.5 inch smartphone(with Symbian, coz Sharp use Symbian on Ntt Docomo)with 10 MP CCD camera. We can't say this can't happen, coz Sharp promised they will announce this year a smartphone for Europe. :)

by the way 25 years ago i bought my 1st sharp cassette player and it was the first one to have a graphic equilizer on it

It seems you know me, I am a SE fan too, I have many comments on the Satio, and on the X2, I saw you there a few monts ago. :)

That's why I'm still using my 903, accepting the nowadays "not up to date" features like the weight (140gr) and the cam resolution (3.2MP)...

Next year we will see great phones here in Europe, I mean smartphones, well not clamshell ones, but I am not care if is clamshell or HTC style phone, to be Japanese, this is the most important for me. :)

In any case, SHARP is not aiming at beating Nokia or Apple I can tell you that. They will aim at a different segment of the market.
People know SHARP for their LCD TV's in Europe, SHARP needs to target that segment of the market - and that's not the geeks.
So I believe that the devices will be smart and Touch driven.
Hopefully there will be some sort of segmentation like they do with Docomo - Smart, Style and Pro series would be nice.
We'll see.
