I have an old trick that still works like a charm when the screen is having a dead touch.
first , find some lighter that use piezo ignition. rips it apart and then take the piezo igniter (you can google it if you don't know how does it looks) secondly , "electrocute" the screen area that got dead touch on it. If it doesn't work on first try , try experimenting it 2-3 times. lastly , reboot the device and pray and also beg for mercy (optional)

I purchased this in India with awarness that I am making risk as spare parts will not be available.
Around 8 months it worked good, after that the top portion of screen touch functionality did not work.
This got slowly expanded upto bottom in few months.
No solution. I am planning to use it for car may using portable touch panel/keyboard.
You cannot do anything.
The type C seems to support display out, you can connect to TV if you want by using a dock and a mouse if that works.
