For example, my work revolves around a camera, and in 5 years I have yet to discover the benefits of using more than one. I'm not sure what would cause disappointment. Considering that the software is quite proprietary, I’m not sure that mere mortals will be able to appreciate the meaning of these cameras, much less be disappointed in anything, please enlighten me.

A 19mm ultrawide being the only lens alongside an ewaste depth sensor for a phone this price is really strange to see. Also really frustrating since its one of the barely existent phones on the market with a top of the line snapdragon soc and memory card slot and a headphone jack.

Anonymous, 09 Apr 2024If Sony had the 1V at that price sure but the 5V isn't... morei think it's more about distribution channel and marketing, like most japanese companies, sharp also still conservative about their financial, after the 80s bubble, they rarely taking risk. it's not that bad though, they did at least tried to expand their smartphone market, they released this phone in taiwan and indonesia beside their home market, which unheard of 8 years ago

Phoner, 11 Apr 2024The best phone I have ever seen.... 💕If only this phone was available in Europe. The only thint Sharp needs to do right now is come to the market and show Samsung, Google and other brands that manufacture flagship phones, some nice competition.

Mike, 09 Apr 2024Nice features, would like to see Sharp in Europe! Would be ... moreWhat I would love to see from Sharp is a phone with a periscope zoom lens, not a phone with only one camera with only 6x digital zoom. I think they charge a lot of money for a phone with only a single camera.
What I love about Sharp phones is that they still have a 3.5 mm headphone jack, second is that their phone have a very good built quality, and their display is of a very good quality.

It's a shame Sharp doesn't sell these worldwide though I guess it would be hard to compete with Samsung and the rest. If they wanted to expand it might be smart to choose a few smaller regions and start pumping ads there rather than fighting the big guys all over the world at the same time.

Nice features, would like to see Sharp in Europe! Would be nice if they added a diaphragm so the camera could shoot at both f1.9 and f4 next generation. I would also prefer a side mounted fingerprint sensor but I'll take an ultrasonic under display over the eye searing optical ones.

But I'm disappointed with the availability of this phone though.

Mobilemaster, 28 Mar 2024Oh come on, this is ridiculous, it is still a flagship phon... moreI think the idea with this camera system is that you get a really good main camera that's almost an UW, but given the high resolution sensor I assume it'll let you achieve lossless 24mm and maybe 2x zoom. I have an R6 and it essentially does the same thing but when digitally cropped to 1X and upscaled it looks a bit blurry. Only when you zoom out to the native 0.7X do you get sharp detail rendition. Curious if this sensor fixes that issue
