      to "ANNEWALLACE"
in case you already havent found out how to switch to extended video then here it is: when you are on the video mode, click options while not filming, click on record size and click the extended option, another helpfull thing if you dont want to waste to much memory is to change the video quality to normal. then this way it takes up less memory and you will have more time to film, you can also take up less memory by changing the anti flicker to 50Hz

              Hi.
I own a GX15, and I must say, overall I'm very pleased. The problem with battery and storage were to be expected...
However, I've recently encountered a new problem: I can't send files (others then pics, videos and ringtones) from my laptop to mobile... This means no *.JAR can be executed and installed on the mobile, and that is simply ridiculous.
Has anyone else encountered this problem and/or found a way around it. If so please share.
              Thanks

I believe the sharp GX15 will be a force to reckon with. The problem I had was when I bought one to use which has been costumized by vodaphone, I could not use the GPRS facility since the not present on the phone. SO I had no option but to return it. That aside I enjoyed every aaspect of the GX15.

Any can you send me the software to be able to install the GPRS or send it to you the manufacturers.

                        To DIRTY D,
I don't know all the features of bluetooth but i do know that you can search for people around you, within about 10 metres or so, and you can then send them any kind of message for free, so you can just mess about with your friends or just send rude pictures to random people in the pub!!! (Very funny). You can also use a cordless hands free kit which is quite helpfull if your out and about. and, the last thing i know of is you can buy a bluetooth adaptor for your computer which plugs into your phone and you can download pictures/songs, etc for free, which saves a lot of money.
The only downfall for this phone is the memory, i didn't know about the memory when i bought this phone and i was very disapointed.

I´ll give one GMAIL account (1Gb) to the first who send to my e-mail the link of the free firmware (no vodafone firmware) of the SHARP GX15.

Mine has 24 pictures, 27 downloaded poly sounds and 4 videos. so 1.8mb does go a long way. if i didnt have soo many useless sounds i would have heaps more memory for my photos and videos. Holds alot of messages. Video does only last 10 seconds but is still quite entertaining. its very easy to use, one of the best. i would highly reccomend this phone if you do not wish to store hundreds of photos and videos (u can send them to your computer via USB anyway and then delete them on your phone for extra storage). Very nice phone.

This phone is excelent, i´m happy with it, good value for its price, you should take look instead of critisize the memory availble!
For 199€, in Portugal, you can have a phone with camera, TFT screen (realy good image), fine design, IRDA, Bluetooth, video record and JAVA support!
It´s poliphony sounds good and loud!
                                      Well done Sharp!

The video is limited to 95K so that you can send it to any other phone by MMS. That's a limitation of the system and other phones. If you use Fine mode the video's about 10 seconds. If you use Normal mode it's about 15. It all depends on how much you move the phone around. Basically, the video is just for fun and not going to replace your video camera.
                                        Peace.
