Had it for 2 month now
Battery life: 3-4 days normal use without switching it off night time.
Screen: real good for specs
Style: i like it more everyday
BT and IRDA working without any problem
Memory only internal and like 1,5 mb free

To me that i spent 27 Euros for it in Spain it was a very good deal....
If you want a simple phone with basic features i dont think there are better deals
out there...

Everyone giving this phone a rave is obviously working for Sharp! I moved across from a Nokia phone and have been very disappointed. There is no way to send contact details via SMS (a business card on the Nokia) meaning if someone asks u for a number you have to look it up, write it down then do and text it into a message. Tedious. The reminder feature is overly complicated and cumbersome - u can't just put an alarm for to remind u "parking meter", U have to set up a subject, beinning time, and end time, a reminder time blah blah. And finally the promise of networking and managing the phone's info with your computer is only for PC users. There is no Macintosh verion of the program. The standard ringtones are dreadful, and while u can record yr own sounds, you cannot use them as ringtones. The phone sux

      I got a vodafone branded GX17.
      Goods:
      display
      good signal catching
      it makes photos.. O_o

      Bads:
..but the memory is enought to take only some photos (if you don't have any ringtone or else loaded)
you cannot upload java via cable bt or irda.
      max 50k per file
you cannot use amr (real sound) as ringtone
you cant send files via email
      poor battery life
..... and that bastard "live!" button, non illuminated, that is too easy to push, creating instantly a connection with vodafone live!.. and istantly dropping money from your account: despicable.

In my final tough: this phone is a nothing else than a toy.
      Don't buy it.

Great phone! able to connect with bluetooth dongle, upload pictures and sounds less than 100k. my only gripe, is that the uploading games feature is blocked delibrately in order to make you download games via WAP at a cost.
If anyone knows how to upload games through bluetooth, please let me know! thanks

i got this phone and for $180 aussie dollars its the best phone on the market! but the one probel i have is setting up email, vodafone has email for $6 per month so maybe i should try that, and vodafone is great i can get games wallpapers and ringtones at the touch of a button, i would recomment this phone to any one its great value for money!

                      Hi,
It has 1.5mb of internal memory and the only difference is the battery life, which is really great.

Hello there, I've just got a this phone and I'm very disappointed with a coupple of features: the keyboard ilumination is the worse I ever seen...really!! A green and very weak light that barely shows the characters, and it's not a malfunction, Vodafone show me another one to compare. There is no speaker!??The only alternative is to use a headphone, maybe they want to force the costumer to buy a Bluetooth one. And how about sending the same sms for more than one number?? Is not there too...So beatifull but then...Regards from Portugal

                              Hello,

I have this phone for about 2 weeks, and I fell in love with it. Is there any way to install games without using wap?

                                    Well.
                                    1. Great Phone.
                                    2. You can't send more than 50kb to the phone (via Bluetooth or Infra-red). If you know any way to send more please contact me.
                                    3. I'm using the software with the phone and a USB-Bluetooth. What you need to do. Connect the device properly and in the phone use the option "Pc software" not the bluetooth. That should do the trick.
Farewell. Contact me if you wan't.

well I had no problem sending photos to a PC via the infrared port just so easy... didnt bored to try by Bluetooth.
Great phone for the money if you want an opinion.

It's great, but I can't get the pictures onto my PC. I'd be very greatful if someone could e-mail me step by step instructions on how to do so. Thanks.
