Well, I have this phone for 5 months already. The screen is the greatest plus side, as well as its camera. However, there are so many things that cant be done with this phone. For example, you can only download the games from the service provider like Vodafone. Not all Bluetooth devices also are compatible, for e.g the Motorola HS820 wireless headset that I just bought 4 hours ago!!

which is best quality in megapixel or other size of picture mode FINE OR NORMAL.anyway sent a short mpeg4 vid to the gx30 from myp900 and it played even though it was only 5 seconds.went to my stuff-videos,then that video from p990 and went to video details and it said mp4.all others off internet are3gp.the voda video that comes with the fone is pretty poor but it would be nice to watch an mp4 vid on this superb screen.the o2x3 video is excellant compared to any other fone vid ive seen this is mp4 but only 128 by 160 pixels solooks detailed because the cif recorder is bigger at xxx by 288 pixels.CIF stands for complimentry intermediate format whatever that is.

Right then, I've got myself a card reader now (£15 from Expansys - top job!) I've got the MP3s to work a dream, just can't wait to get the stereo headphones and a 512mb memory card (thanks Jenna for the advice, although I've seen 1gb cards for sale specifically for the GX30i, which makes me wonder). Now for the MPEG player. Does it really play MPEGs??? My old phone (Nokia 6600) played 3GP files, and it looks like this one records in 3GP format as well. However I can't get the files I converted using my Nokia multimedia converter to work on my GX30i. Nor can I get it to play MPEGs. More help please!! Cheerz

I've just got a GX30i and am trying to send MP3 files to the phone from my PC. Every time I do it, it tells me the file size is too large and the PC tells me my phone won't support files of this type. This is regardless of the size of the MP3 I'm trying to send. Can you send them to the phone at all, or have you got to put them onto the memory card using a card reader? Want to know whether it's worth getting a 1gb card and a reader. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers all.

I hava a gx30,, i got i t a few days ago, and i love it. The Screen is the best ive seen. the camera is pretty good, only 1 megapixel but it takes good pictures in the phone. The Mp3 player is verry slow but i think thats because the Sd card is slow.Funny games like Worms and other stuff. I love it.

thanks robbie.the gx30i has full bluetooth and infrared plus mp3 ringtones and improved diary.thats what ive been told in vodafones shop and on this website www.shopforphones.com,but could not swear to it.still after the upgrade from gx30 they shud offer it for £30.anyway been on to sharp who sent me 3 websites to go for info and none helped, neither did vodafone ,it seems sharp build them open and voda buy the lot and lock them to there network and in doing so vodafone put on the restrictions, which we know so its voda im annoying to get the limits taken off.i wonder if u cud sue them for abusing the system as it is supposed to be 100kb mms system and voda are breaking that.offcom might help!its like buying a tele with teletext on and currys saying to you that oh yes its got teletext on but you cant use its blocked by us.they will be known for this foulplay if mms ever took off and mates on other networks are sending videos and having fun but voda customers can only send 4 seconds and thats it.ive got that off my chest for now

Formatting means to completely clear everything off it. i.e wipe the memory card clean.
