If it shuts down automatically at battery level : 60%, one ought to replace the old battery with a new one. It won't overheat if you install the cleaner app. This is because many apps are running in the background of the Android. Just like a laptop which runs many apps simultaneously.

A good smartphone indeed. No problem for me as I have been using it for more than 4 years. Much better than other China brand phones. Just change the battery if it is faulty.

i have seen a lot of comments about the battery life. Simple, replace the battery eveything will be solved.

1.it often overheat whenever I do minimal task like browsing through browser or watch movies but not when gaming??? (Not complaining but it often goes warm when I play games)
2.did Sharp think it through when they decided to put the SD card slot on SIM slot 1? I have to use SIM slot 2 and often it turns into 3G rather than 4G at my grandmother's house. Using SIM slot 1 usually gets me 4G 80% of the time or so....
3.The battery life sucks after using it for about 1 year and a half. Seriously, 60% and then it dies.
4.fingerprint scanner is getting a bit senile. When my phone died, so does the memory of my fingerprint scanner. So I had to re-scan it. That sucks since my phone dies faster than the battery percentage.

Have never owned such a shit phone. If I turn sound down to silent it won't turn up again unless I reboot. Sounds speaker makes wining noise instead of sound.

Sent this phone in once after the battery reported issues. Replaced both motherboard, battery and also a firmware upgrade. No issues after that. This is actually a very decent phone if you were able to get the chipset firmware upgrade.

Sifting through comments, it's all positive for this phone except battery, overheating and shutting down. 3000mAh to drive a deca-core is asking a tad too much. Screen, processor, tasks etc consume juice. Intense usage such as gaming continuously definitely maxes out (or almost) the processor therefore heating up the procesor and by default the phone. Any gadget generating heat has an inbuilt protection mechanism - in the case of phones it is to shut down so as to cool and prevent damage (ever used a laptop with faulty fan or clogged vents?). The metallic body on your phone is more than just strength and aesthetics - it is also an informal heat sink dissipating heat and cooling the phone. Holding the phone in your hands not only insulates, but adds to the heat thus negating the phone's cooling effort. My solution, play away in sub-zero temps, get a board game or talk to people more - whichever tickles your fancy.

Just bought a Z2 four days ago and I am very happy with it at the price I bought it for. Phone is very fast and the camera is great. Takes pics extremely fast. Android 6 is very plain Jane, but I'm ok with that. Screen is very responsive. WiFi is a bit slower than other devices I have, but it does ok. My only complaint so far is the sim situation. You can't have 2 sims and a memory card. You have to choose between a second sim or the memory card. Other ppl complain about over heating and the battery drains quickly. I have no problems with that. Battery last a long time for me, but I'm not gaming a lot. A really good buy IMO.

Good phone, it doesn't heats like i read in some comments. The only problem i have, it have a weak battery.... besides that, good phone, good looking, and good performer
