I got this phone free through T-Mobile about two months ago and already I am shopping around for a new cell. It has some nice features, like internet access, downloadable wallpaper and polyphonic ringtones, WAP browser, etc. but you can tell it's very cheaply made -looks like a toy. It shuts itself off randomly and the ringtones are not loud enough. When in vibrate mode, you can barely feel it. The best thing about it is the way the antenna is made, like a handlebar. So while I'm searching for a new phone, I am using my old Nokia 6010...and may end up sticking with it if I don't find anything better.

The random shutting off problem is a software problem, to see if your phone has the defective software version enter *#06#. The serial number will come up, then press info. If it says sw version 84 or 85 that is the defective version. The improved version is 95. Even with the new version though it is still a known problem that it shuts off, however much more seldom. Personally I wouldn't consider buying this phone.

Hey...i loved this phone when i got it. About 2 months later, it started turing off on its own. (how crappy) So i called an asked them to send me a new one. Then 1 month later...it starts turing off on it own. So i called again. They sent me the same Darn phone...and it keeps turin off...ON ITS OWN. The phone SUCKS!!!!

Externily One of the most stylish phones available at the moment. Flip phones with square screens look weird, just like the Nokia 2650. A screen with 130 by 170 pixels would suite the phone more.

Hi there,
you can increase your battery's life considerably by doing the following:
1. switch off all unneeded sounds and animations, including dynamic light alarms you don’t really need (e.g. dynamic light while making a call, start animations/sounds, key tones...)
2. set a energy saving profile for day/indoor use with reduced brightness of your display and switched off 2nd display
3. switch off GPRS while you don’t use it
4. cycle your battery regularly at least once a month (this means: discharge your battery completely before recharging it.)
5. set short-cuts, so you don’t have to toggle through the whole menu all the time.
I make/receive calls of >30Min each day and my CF62 has stand by times of >72 hours (however on average I send less than 1 SMS per day).

Just want to add something:
It's to slow for java and games, that's right, but no big deal, i mean java and games are "higher" cpu processes, but this phone is truly to slow for text and even for starting.
you really have to wait your time to set up e.g. the phonebook when it's just started.

I have a black cosmo and i think it's worth the price!! Very small, beautiful, nice screen (but not very bright) lots of options, memory and dynamic lights function wich is really cool(blue lights in the black model), 2nd screen and good sound quality.
The problems are, short battery life(50 hours or less) and its too slow for java and games.
Anyone know if i can change the battery to a better one??

I have this phone n think that it´s great. At the beginning it started to turn off itself, but I used a little peace of paper to push the battery n it didnt turn off again. The only thing that I want to ask is: Where do I get game for this phone? Mine came with none. And I couldn´t get any. Please, help me by give me url with games for this phone(free download). Thanx.

this phone sucks like nothing has ever sucked before. it is slow. it has no style. it looks awfull and it is boring. and you have a lot's of problems with it.

omfg!! ha this phone was nice when i first bought i was like wow cool nice lookin phone and all especially since alotta the girls like it to eh ^_o they be like cute phone ha anyways it's been about half a year or so and now and then I HATE THIs phone why? becuz 1.it turns off by itself out of knowhere randomly which pisses me off and 2.it is soooo damn slow when loading up after u turn it on. Now about the games of this phone hmm like none? zero nadda! there arent even games for this phone and there are like only 2 stock games in the north american ver. of the Cf62 that i have and they take foreveveeerrrr to load the game and there not even fun games! what i do love about this phone is the ringtones i spent over 200$$ on them -_- but still they sound so good all polyphonic tones, still not sure if my phone will turn off automatically after cleaning the contacts of the battery and the spring contacts inside well still CRAP PHONE when it comes to loading and always turns off randomly out of know where especially when u think sum1 will call u.
in the end good phone in ring tones only i guess other then that it's kinda really reALLLY crap! Oh ya i love this phone also becuz u can block ur ID when u make calls its an option the "call setup" option on ur cf62

Sorry, I made a mistake: The "Automatic Switch Off" Option can be accessed by pressing: "Menu"-9-5-6.

If your CF62 switches off automatically there are 2 possible reasons:
1. "Automatic switch off" is set to a certain time. If so, you can do the following: Press "Menue"-"9"-"6"-"5" and if there is a time specified press: "Manual" to undo this option
2. The contacts between battery and phone are corroded. Take out the battery and check the contacts. If necessary clean them. Also check whether the springs of the contacts are working.
In the unlikely event that all this doesn't help: send it in and ask for a replacement!

i found out that the black cosmo colour of this phone has got blue LED lights instead of orange lights. very cool.

Sorry to say, but if you want a good phone and not just a device to talk to people, this is not the phone to get. Very crappy, switches of whenever it wants, especially when you are expecting an important call; it's almost like it has a mind of its own.
