You can download ringtones on this phone. Im from Australia and there are a few ringtone companies on the new such as jamster and blueskyfrog which supports this mobile phone. but as u should know, downloading ringtones do cost a fair bit... if u are downloading ringtones, remember to switch ur gprs on and be connected with internet!!! i love this phone!!! :P

I own the CF62 for 10 months now. Given its price (if you buy it without contract!) its functionality and specifications (esp. addressbook!!) are great. However, the phone really has a problem. After a while it starts switching itself off sporadically. Please read older comments on that in this forum. Furthermore, this phone is really very veeeeery slow. It's not a good choice if you want to run Java applications or write a lot of SMS. In addition I never got used to the keypad.
If you cycle your battery regularly and switch off all fancy lights, tones and functions you don't need, battery life is quite competitive (remember its a flip phone!). Mine lasts for 3-4 days.

Tested it in a store... about 3 minutes to run a java game. Horrible!
I've read the manual... there are some tips to save the battery:
- Disabling GPRS (enable it only when accessing the web);
- Disabling dynamic lights (use them only in most important events, like when you receive a call);
- There's an option of quick network connection (or something like that) that enables fast connection when you lose it. Disabling that will save battery;
- A less bright display will also save battery.

I'm thinking about buying a CF62. Most people say that the battery sucks, it doesn't last a day or two of normal use. But what about disabling the GPRS, or the dynamic lights? Battery will last longer? Has someone done that? Opinions, please!
Thanks!

To those who think it`s slow processing. Are you hearing yourselves? Look at Samsung e700 or a800. That`s slow processing. I`m gona buy cf 62 and i`m going to recomend it to anyone who asks me.

This is to shrincu.
Just because customers are happy with this phone, how can u claim that we are Siemens employees?!?! For all that we know,just because your saying this phone is bad, you might as well be a Nokia or Motorola Employee!!! I can truthfully say that im not a Siemens employee. Im a normal citizen and i bought this phone and as i said, im really happy with it.

My CF62(T) used to suot off. I exchanged it, and haven't had problems with this one. May have been a problem with early models.
I wished it had a few more games.

Two main problems with it: slow processing and a TERRIBLE short battery lifetime. But, the other features are good, the icons don't botther me at all. But the battery... Siemens should offer a special STRONG battery for this model.
