Just got the SL65 - had SL55, was not sure about it at first because it is bigger than the SL55 but it is a really nice phone, good features. SL55 does look better but i think i'll stick with the 65 for just now, it's growing on me!!!

Nice phone. Good size. Easy to use. Joystick is too smooth to grip though and makes games hard to play. Also needs Bluetooth to be really good.

Couldn't wait to see this phone in real life - but now I have, I won't be getting one. Huge compared to the gorgeous SL55, and to be honest, it's pretty poor on the functions - hardly a step up from the SL55. Way too big both in price and size for my liking - Siemens need to work harder to keep up!

what good is in-built handsfree in noisy situations, ie driving in the car?-none. i have a bluetooth enabled laptop computer and a really great benefit is being able to send all the pictures and videos from my (bluetooth equipped)nokia 6230 phone to my computer using bluetooth, therefore freeing up all my phone memory because i dont have to keep them in the phone to view them.i just save them in a file on the laptop!
my point is that as a supposedly 'top end' phone,it should have as many features as possible, and in 2004 , bluetooth is considered essential by a lot of users. dont get me wrong, it looks a really great, well designed phone, and once it has bluetooth i shall be at the phone shop banging the door down at opening time wanting to buy one !

                                Hello,

I read an article in a magazine about the mobile siemens model SL65, I read that it had been withdrawn by the manufacturer from the market due to defects in the software, Is that right? please confirm me.

Why would anyone need bluetooth when it has built in hands free http://www.gsmarena.com/index.php3?sRedir=http://www.gsmarena.com/siemens_sl65-reviews-823.php

great looking phone and very desireable...however ... i was unfortunate enough to own the previous model, the SL55,which was so bad i sold it on e-bay after 2 months. so hopefully the new SL65 will be a lot better (with bigger keys also) ! a message to siemens though: NO BLUETOOTH? COME ON GUYS,THERE IS NO EXCUSE NOT TO HAVE IT NOWADAYS,specially with other 'top end' phones having it,and even modern Laptop computers having Bluetooth also. it just seems really mean spirited not to have it as part of the specifications. no doubt in 6 months time there will be an updated(and more expensive) version released including bluetooth. until then , this phone will only have a limited appeal mainly because of its good design, but for those of us who rely on bluetooth for connectivity to laptops and even just for a bluetooth handset,we will have to look elsewhere.

SL55 is much nicer looking, it's the original design & still the best looking.
