Slim 3 megapixel Nokia 5630 XpressMusic gets flirty with Ngage
In an attempt to further establish the XpressMusic brand today Nokia announced the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic - a 12mm-thick handset that weighs only 83 grams. Taking over from where the Nokia 5320 left the 5630 features a 3 megapixel camera, improved active standby homescreen, N-Gage gaming support and will ship with a 4 GB microSD card.
The Nokia 5630 XpressMusic runs on Symbian S60, and aims to be an affordable but capable multimedia device. True to its XpressMusic nature, it features a 3.5mm audio jack and dedicated music keys. Nokia's "Say and Play" feature is also supported, allowing the user to say the name of the song or artist they want played next.
The Finnish company went all in with the connectivity options of the Nokia 5630 XpressMusic - Wi-Fi, HSDPA and HSUPA, quad-band GSM/GPRS/EDGE, Bluetooth,USB (with charging through USB support), it’s all there. They also threw in their music distribution facilities with Nokia Music store and in some countries - Comes With Music as well. The 5630 XpressMusic also has support for the N-Gage gaming platform allowing you to choose from a large catalog of really cool games.
The final noteworthy features of Nokia 5630 XpressMusic include a 3 megapixel camera with enhanced fixed focus and LED flash and the built-in microSD card slot.
Nokia 5630 XpressMusic will start shipping in the second quarter of 2009 for about 200 euro (260 US dollars) with a 4GB memory card.
