Snapchat adds Paperclip, Backdrops and Voice Filters

Prasad, 05 July 2017

Snapchat has added a bunch of new features in the latest update.

One of them is Paperclip. With this, you can add a URL to your snaps, something that was only available to brand accounts before. You can type it out or paste it from clipboard, although you might have to provide access to the clipboard from the app settings to enable the latter.

The next feature is Backdrops. You can add some cool new effects on the background of your images. First mark the foreground or the subject of your frame with the new tool. Then the app will automatically apply the background filter to the rest of the image.

Lastly, there is Voice Filters, which lets you choose from a bunch of filters for your voice in your videos.

The update also adds the Geofilter feature on the Android version.

The updated app is now available on iOS and Android.
