Snapdragon 8 Elite rules AnTuTu with Apple A18 Pro defying score

On Monday, Qualcomm is finally announcing the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, formerly known as Snapdragon 8 Gen 4. Now, a leaked AnTuTu score from a prototype Realme GT7 Pro is doing the rounds showing a record-breaking result of 3,025,991.

That puts it well ahead of Apple's A18 Pro (which manages about 1.65 million points) as well as MediaTek's recently unveiled Dimensity 9400, which managed a score in the 2.8 million range last time we checked.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite is rumored to come in two iterations, a base one with two cores running at up to 4.09 GHz and six at 2.78 GHz, and a premium option with two cores going up to 4.32 GHz. Both versions have the Adreno 830 GPU and are made on TSMC's 3nm process.

The Snapdragon 8 Elite has previously scored very favorably in Geekbench as well, so it's really looking like a very solid contender, and it is apparently coming with a huge generational leap in performance over its predecessor.
