Dear Mr. XXX ( sent to reseller in Suisse )

    Further to our eMails dated from 27.July 2012 to 30.October 2012 (last, 30.10.2012 15:53 )

I wish to let you know that I am indeed unhappy.
I still have serious problems with my Sonim phone:

    1)
    ITALIAN Network : "searching"

Please kindly look at below 3 videos. They are self-explanatory.

When ever I go to ITALY, I got this recurrent issue: my Sonim "searching" continusly
I cannot even switch off my sonim. it is just getting "mad".

This happen only with any Italian network.
I have been to the following countries and my sonim works well: Hong-Kong, Macao, Singapore, China, France, Germany, Austria.

    2)
Not possible to change preferences ( Priority )

In the Menu - Settings - Network settings - PREFERENCES,
I mean, In some Geneva aera, we can get French networks as well as the Swiss one.
It is just impossible to setup the prefererences ( for instance Swiss one ), each time I do I got the message : "Unfinished"
Consequently, my sonim just get the newtork with the strongest signal.

I have the strong feeling that above "searching" issue is related to "Preferences".
In the preferences folder, I have a lot of predefined networks.
For instance, some Russian, country I have never been to.
I think that those pre-defined network, the italians one have wrong "data" in them and whenever I go to Italy, . . . .
I actually cannot even Delete pré-setup network : I got systematically "Unfinished"

    3) My sonim does not keep my out-going SMS messages.

    Menu - Messages - Outbox - >>> nothing

    4) Key 3 DEF + Key 6 MNO

Most of the time both are not lighted , or sometimes they blink and then idle.

Please kindly let me know what action you wish to take.

Looking forward to your kind reply,

    Best regards,

I have owned the Sonim xp3.20 Quest pro for 2 years and have had to have it replaced 2 times due to the usb port breaking. The phone is build rugged but they failed to build the usb/charger to match the durability of the phone.

owned this for 3 years and Anovo have replaced it 7,yes 7 times, twice for broken screens and the rest is for firmware faults.
Don't get me wrong its a rugged phone and does everything it claims to,it really is hard as nails.
BUT and its a big but, since I started having technical issues its been non stop, the phone freezes and the battery has to be removed, the torch comes on and drains the battery FAST,tx's only send when they fancy it,and best of all is the spiking in signal levels.....from full to none ALL THE TIME!!
its forever being replaced NO QUIBBLE and I'm told its up to date and all the faults have been rectified, but it comes back and a week later so do the faults.
The software installed is from the dark ages and just doesn't seem to cope with anything.

I bought my phone on Feb 7, 2012 I dropped it one time from a standing position to the road and when I picked it up the display screen was black and the camera was busted. I called my wireless provider and they told me they could not help me because it was a malfunction of the phone and the warrenty should take care of it. I tried contacting the sonim company and got a recording to leave a message and someone would call me back I have yet to hear from them. What can I do to get my phone repaired since no one is willing to help?

                Hi!
Just after a month of using the xp3 sonim, the coating on number 5 got scratched.
Then, i always get very very poor signals. I live in the UAE, Abu Dhabi to be exact and the network signals here are excellent!! So why no signal??

I bought the unit in best buy in chicago so GSM should not be an issue!
Can someone email me at b4logban@ yahoo.com to help me out?!

                Thank you

                  This is my second Sonim.
I have had my XP3.20 for nearly two years now, and it's the best phone I have ever used. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles - but then it's a phone, and when I need to call or be called, it works, first time, every time. That's why I HAVE a phone.

I have been swimming with my phone - and have photos on the phone that prove this.
I have chopped down trees, with my phone on my belt, and have even fallen out of a tree with my phone. It never skipped a beat.
I go cycling and quad biking with my phone. And not a moment's trouble.

With regards to service: the agents here in South Africa (www.ptta.co.za) are fantastic - never too busy to talk to you, and any interactions with them are painless. When I had problems with my previous Sonim, they replaced it immediately, no questions asked - their unconditional guarantee really IS unconditional.
I'm still using BOTH my Sonim phones, and will not hesitate to purchase another.

I've had my XP3 Quest Pro for 18 months and love it. Have had no problems untill last week when after entering my security pin the screen goes blank. The phone goes into standby mode and is unresponsive. Only the shut off and light buttons seem to work. It no longer receives calls either. Probably just a software glitch that needs a reset. Biggest problem is trying to get some one at Sonim to talk to me. All their phone numbers seem to go directly to an answering machine which does not identify the company and my emails have been ignored. I am certain 5 minutes with a techy at Sonim would save me haveing to mail the thing back for warrenty covered repairs, but this almost purposely set up avoidance of customers that spend 3-400 on a phone is absolutely a mind scratcher. Before you buy, google their coperate headquarters and give them a call. It's a toll free call and you'll very quickly understand my hesitancy in recommending any of their extrodinarily well made products.

This phone has given me and other colleagues untold problems, speaker broken, software freezing up and unable to get it out of sleep mode. Dio not recommend this phone at all. Follow up service by Sonim useless and are not willing to take responsibility for an inferior phone.

Bought my Sonim two years ago and yealled to the microphone few weeks before I understood to ask for a replacement. Got better one after some 5 weeks waitingtime with no phone at all. Now this replacement has been rattling for some time now with every phone call I have. It's been like I a was speking to someone with another planet or atleast with someone in opposite side of the planet. Numbers and letters on keypad have completely worn out in less than 2 years so it's very fun to try to send textmessages with the phone. Put cover film on my display so it's been staying in good gondition. Display in my first Sonim got scrathches after few weeks in normal use. I have two batteries for the phone and they both sucks. Another one sucks a bit more than another one. Lasts about 2-3 days and I don't call much. Then in some point I found out that the calender in the phone counts the weeks wrongly. If I look at the calender and it shows that we are having the week 49 at the moment, I have to try to remember to count one week off from the reading. Yes it's really weak number 48 no matter what my phone tries to tell me. This thing got so annoying, that I contacted the support for it. Got reply perhaps one year ago that they are working on it. Christ. We have all those smart phones around us, and still there is one manufacturer who cann't make a phone which would show correct weeknumber on display. And there are people out there crazy enough to buy these junks, including myself.
I've learned my lesson though. Never again. I sent email to the support center about the rattling problem one week ago and so far they haven't been so much interested about my problems, that they would have replied anything to me. Let's see.

                                  Nice rugged phone.

NO WINDOWS 64bit DRIVERS OR SOFTWARE!!!!! and it doesnt sound like they are to concerned about it either, You have been warned

Software installed on 32bit Vista works but is a far cry from something like Nokia PC suite, needs a lot of work.
                                  Sad really.
