Yes but you haven't said about the battery performance.. How good is it? According to the review of XP1 here the battery is good but in your experience how about the XP3?

It is 1180mAh,Xp1's battery was 110mah,so the difference is not that much.Menus are also EXACTLY the same as XP1's-so texting has not improved at all,unfortunately-BUT XP3's keyboard are MUCH,MUCH more faster and responsive than XP1's.
Do note that XP3 is a LARGE telephone, somewhat bulkier than a Nokia 3310,and quite heavy, although personally i don't mind.An improvement in the menus arrangement and more logical texting-that is,Nokia style menus and texting-and this WEAPON WILL RULE,INDEFINITELY.
And for those who are wondering:YES,i own both XP1 and XP3 so my comments are not a guess..

Regarding the condurro M801 being a similar phone, well I just purchased one,and not all the features work,it's tempremental and isn't waterproof,I used mine in the shower it water is clearly behind the screen, but the company told me they tested it in 2 ft of water for 10 minutes without problems, they did say it comes with an unconditional warranty,so I will say if they honor it or not.

I am having an issue with the negative replies/feedback to this phone about it being ugly or not having enough features. Please ask Vanna to buy a clue - this is not a phone for the Metrosexual guy that goes to a salon to get his hair, eyebrows, and nails done - this is a phone for men that acutally get their hands dirty and work for a living or hunt constantly in the woods/fields/rivers. I am on my 3rd cell phone in less than 10 months, I seem to destroy them and am sick of it. I just got one of these XP3's and hope it is the nswer to my dreams. I have said for years, "I do not need a fancy phone that can take pictures, surf the net and blow me at the same time - I just want a phone that will last and make/recieve phone calls" - this sounds like it is it.

The LM801 seems to have many of the rugged features of the Sonim phones plus a compass, altimeter, pressure barometer, torch and laser pointer among others.
Is there anyone in the GSM Arena community that owns or has used this phone?
Specs are here: http://www.durrocomm.com/

I own the XP1 and used in the field. You cannot imagine what things this phone can take. I'm only bying the XP3 for the water-proof capability. My XP1 is yet to be destroyed but I don't care. If Sonim goes for a phone with a compass and maybe GPS, they'll need a bigger factory!
Sonim has created a club of dedicated followers!

great phone for builders/farmers etc. But even they want a half decent (2mp) camera and expandable memory for storing pics/music. And with Land Rover branding, a big step up from the JCB toy.

At Last a phone which does exactly what it says on the tin.It is an extremely tough phone and I love it.some people are commenting on the styling of it,well as far as I am concerned it looks and is a cool phone. It came with a very strong belt holster(very useful as I am a builder).Over the years I have spent hundreds and hundreds on mobile phones which dont last a month!!!!! I have dropped this phone off ladders and it still works perfectly. The screen has remained scratchless and looks like new after being used on numerous dirty building sites.I highly rate this phone...dont hessitate to go and get one they are brilliant!!

I like this thing. I used to have an old Sanyo phone that was one of those "go big or go home" kinda phones. This isn't some lil pretty boy phone like most of them out there. Really even though it is expensive for lacking features that are pretty much standard on some phones these days, you're paying for a different feature set. These things are pretty much indestructable, I've seen one of these go through hell an a half, and still worked. You're paying for durrability which i think is more important then a GPS, MP3 player, 8mp camrea, cell phone. least you know this thing won't break if you drop it or falls in a beer (my poor lil Razr Maxx).

I work for an Irish Telecomunications company and this phone isnt covered by any of the Irish networks! Its a real shame cause we cant keep these on the shelf, we sell these simfree and people are still willing to fork out the big €'s for them! Any one even comparing a sony ericsson to this phone is a fool like many of you that have mentioned this phone is for a target market and as a former plumber myself and I would have loved to have had one of these at my fingertips at the time! Back to the sony ericsson's they have to be the most unreliable phones on the market we have nothing but problems with our customers keypads and memory card readers i havent had one Sonim back, to date (touch wood)! As for Sonim a few extra featurs would be nice and wouldnt go unnoticed!

Nokia should have realized that there was a market for these type of phones when deciding to pull the plug on the dear 5140i.

Wish they included the Camouflage in the color template. It'll give it a more toughie look. Gotta love it. Hoo-aahh
