I kinda like how this phone looks, but man these are some underpowered specs for a 350€ phone, even if it's rugged and still has the Sonim quality. It's weird that it has a 3.1 USB connection.

Its like you going to compare Tata car or some Toyota, Peugeot or Skoda with Rolls Royce, Buggatti, Pagani or Bentley.
    Like seriously???
Its like you say Vertu is chinese because you never ever heard about Vertu brand and a phone with 5000 pricetag you will name as a mistake in pricing.

Been years since i seen last phone fromt his brand.
That price is really big but Sonim as i know them is remarkable for their astonishing quality.
Know several of my customers who still rocking XP7 which is now almost 10 years old.

Back in the days (some 20-ish years ago!), Sonim was one of the few companies that did hi-end rugged phones. I remember we did tried to destroy them once they come for reviews, it was funny back then. Now phones are mostly boring design-wise:

MisterTrueRomance, 31 Jan 2025This is the first time I hear of this brand. Where is this ... moremost likely manufactured in china(for cheap) & slapped some foreign brand to hike price.

Ah, a new Sonim phone. Feels like Kyocera's new phones, maybe the same company is behind each now.

I have never heard of Sonim before but looks like some cheap rugged phone company that is surprisingly based in USA California. (I've expected them to be based in China from the naming but apparently not)

This is the first time I hear of this brand. Where is this assembled? It would be very overpriced if it's assembled in China or SEA. Either way this is still the most expensive 4 gen 2 (low end) phone I've seen.
