Sony announces Chroma Collection accessories for the PS5 slim

Sony has announced a new set of colors for the PlayStation 5 panels and the DualSense controller. Called the Chroma Collection, the theme for this set is iridescence, and it features three new shades.

Among them is Chroma Pearl, which looks similar to the original white color at first glance but has a pearlescent sheen to it with colors that subtly shift between a light pink and cream. The Chroma Indigo is a bolder shade that runs somewhere between deep blue and vivid purple. Finally, there's the Chroma Teal, which features several deep shades of green with a hint of blue.

The Chroma Collection will be available as console covers for the redesigned PlayStation 5 slim model only and are priced at $65 for each color. You can also pick up the new DualSense models that feature the new color combinations (but are otherwise functionally the same) for $80 each.

Pre-orders for the Chroma Collection begin on October 3. Chroma Pearl and Chroma Indigo accessories will launch on November 7 while Chroma Teal will arrive much later on January 23, 2025.
