I brought this phone 2 weeks back...and its a good phone...i read a lot of negative reviews on this site but i went with ahead my gut and purchased it...and i dont regret my decision...:)

i usually don't write opinions online. my k800i which i bought in 2006 is one of the best phones ever. hence when i changed my phone in 2010, i went along with my (formerly) most trusted brand. but the aspen is one of the worst experiences i've ever had. after 1 month of unsuccessfully trying to use this phone in a meaningful manner, i tried to sell it but no one wants it. then i switched back to my beat up but reliable k800i. i've handed over the aspen to my when her old sony ericsson conked out (after 4 years of good usage mind u). but she now curses the aspen every waking moment. anyways what i'd like to say is sony ericsson has REALLY managed to lose the mark with this phone

i want setting to set sliding buttons on screen
for answering the call
now its just touch n answer which is risky for me as it can answer call unknowingly
how can I do dat sliding touch buttons.?

Toto, 03 Apr 2011Hi! Is there any way to turn ON/OFF backlight by not using ... morego to settings-system-backlight and power management and at the top of the screen choose advance then unmarked the turn off device when not in use.. then ok hope that helps..

Where can I buy this phone?
I've checked on the Sony Ericsson, Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone, Carphone Warehouse and Phones4u websites, but I don't see an option to buy it? Plus, some of the sites don't even have it on the site.

ella, 21 May 2011why this aspen phone always hang??? every time i take photo... moreThe phone hangs because I think you probably have a lot of applications opened. Try closing your applications when you open them..you can do this by pressing the hardware button windows key for 5 secs and the taskbar opens displaying the opened applications.. you can then choose to close them all or the ones you like.This phone is just like your pc and sony ericsson recommends restarting you phone once a day to free memory blocks.Hope this helps!
