If someone have this phone then please install any call recording software and then reply that the both-side call recording without speaker is available or not on this phone.

        Thanks...

Anonymous, 21 Sep 2010camera....lol...try nokia n73 and nokia n82...sony is crap ... moreIf nokia phones are that good den why the nokia users(YOU included) want to promote their phones at SE's forums, Do nokia forums dont exist ? or the nokia users cant use them ? This is not the only site where it happens there are many more tech2.com and techtree.com are just to name a few. For ur reply, the camera and ARC-slide design, i dint say good or bad i said SE introduced them and copied by nokia. For symbian, can u name a phone made by nokia recognized as smartphone and was launched before P990i or P1i.

SE defined 3.2mp cam in k790i soon copied by finns in nseries, SE defined music playing handsets called walkmans, lately copied by finns and called it XpressMusic. SE defined arcslide design, soon copied by finns in something cheap looking called n97, even continuing to n9. Symbian was a crappy OS for feature phones, SE made it a smart phone OS by putting it in P990i and P1i. So be a stupid and play with your finn toy. If you get back ur senses den v shall hav a chat.

Georgi, 19 Sep 2010Don't be a fool buddy - I have been loyal SE customer for m... moreI agree to you at some point. However, I find the Nokia E72 a tad expensive than the SE Aspen. I am a 12 year Nokia loyalist, never handled a handset from another brand before.

The reason I came to think of buying Aspen is that it is a business oriented handset that offers a higher 256MB RAM and 256MB ROM compared to that of the E72, and offers a lower price than of the E72, considering they both have a 600MHz Microprocessor.

I also have taken into account other factors of which I consider Nokia E72 as the winner. Such as the camera, thinness, design, UI consistency, and what-you-can-name-it features. However, it is not the design, multimedia, camera, and whatever features that I need from a phone. It is the ability to do more tasks given possible, and from the way I see it, 256MB of RAM and ROM with a zippy 600MHz Microprocessor could do more task than of a 128MB RAM + 600 MHz Microprocessor.

If you insist that this handset might not qualify my expectations, then I might just as well go for look for another handset, the multi-tasking monster from Nokia perhaps.

My last SE was Xperia X2 which I was happy to sell about 2 months ago. Since then I am using Nokia E72 and I can't stop to wonder how can that be that I was soooo stupid for so many years. What I can tell from todays point of view is that comparing Nokia E72 with Xperia X2 (X2 is considered far superior then Aspen by SE themself) is like compare latest Mercedes Benz model with Dacia (a made in Romania Renault substitute). If you don't believe me - try it for you self ;-) Personally I swear that I will NEVER again buy anything from SE - even if they give it for free...

I am currently a Nokia E63 user, and I am interested in buying this phone aside Nokia E72. However, I have some questions regarding the phone quality and performance.

                                  1) Phone durability.
I accidentally drop my phone rarely. Will the SE Aspen withstand a fall from 3-4 feet without getting serious damage? (like pixel loss, or faceplate cover crack)

                                  2) Poor Task Switching.
I am a heavy user, and switching between tasks is a necessity. I have read in the review that the phone offers poor task switching functionality, is it true?

I look forward by any of your answers.

i bought this phone on 10th September. Initially i confused with nokia E71, E72, SE Aspen and Blackberry curve 8900. but right now i am the most happiest person on the earth with this phone. I use it for business purpose only though it has some nice multimedia feature.

Some of the advantage of Aspen over E71,E72 and Curve 8900 are

                                        1. Windows Os so u have more application to customise ur phone unlike the Symbian and blackberry OS.

                                        2. Lots of Pre-Installed application.

                                        3. 3G support

                                        4. Screen Resolution is low but the display has good clarity.

                                        5. Fast GPS data download. (in rainy season it has detected 7 station)

                                        6. Good battery life (with 100% charging it has remains almost 4 days with push email, calling and massaging)

                                        7. Very responsive key-pad.

                                        8. Combination of touch and QWERTY gives the Fast and fun Experience.

                                        9. It looks different and smart(particularly white-silver) than the curvy nokias and blackberrys.

Some of the disadvantages of Aspen since i used

                                        1. size of screen is small comparing the size of phone though it's same as nokias and BBs.

                                        2. little bit confusing to use due to bad UI.

                                        3. SPB shell is great looking but the different interface(pop up menu has different skin) gives it a sour look.

                                        4. Camera is not configure well.

                                        5. 65k color

                                        Advise to SE.........

                                        1. Phone is great but i want only one up gradation that is uniform skin to this os so if i select the SPB shell then the pop up menu or messaging box or file explorer box has the same shell skin.......plz. plz.
