I bought this phone just six months ago and now the battery has died on me. I bought a replacement battery but still the phone will not recharge, it says " must you sony ericsson battery to recharge" but that's what I have done.
So I'd say, beware if you buy it, cos this might happen to you.

Clara, 28 Mar 2010Best Feature Phone for the price. Quadband HSPDA/HSUPA, a S... moreI've just re-read your post. Under $150? Are you sure about this? I assume you're talking US $ here. If i'm going to compute it in peso in the current exchange rate, c510 is still around $180 here in the Philippines.
Talk about overpricing..... SE just made it clear how overpriced their products were. Nothing's changed. SE as usual. If they price Vivaz for 22,000, No thanks.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970It's a good phone. I would definitely recommend it. At the price SE is offering now, there's nothing to complain. Just don't expect much from the camera especially at night. Overall, it will be a good buy.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970I had similar problem before. I just updated the phone with the latest firmware and use a Sandisk m2 card. There's been a series of updates released and you probably missed it. Although the latest FW (R1HA035) is really not that good. I would switch back to R1FA035 if I have the chance.

Clara, 28 Mar 2010Best Feature Phone for the price. Quadband HSPDA/HSUPA, a S... moreYou're right.C510 price have dropped down very significantly. Sony Ericsson should have offered the phone at this price year ago. (And I won't be complaining about the poor build quality and the camera not being up to Cybershot standards.)

Best Feature Phone for the price. Quadband HSPDA/HSUPA, a Sony Cybershot Camera with all the trimming, great build quality, Push Email, Decent Song Playback and it's so small and light. For under $150 you can't beat the feature set this phone offers.

Anonymous, 01 Jan 1970Change your theme. The really frilly flowery girlie ones use heavy flash and are laggy compared to the more streamlined ones.

This phone can't handle foliage very well. All ended up blurry smudges of leaves or trees. Taking a very sharp and clear photos with c510 is a challenge. I hate it. Any advice anyone? I mostly use auto settings. And a little WB changes to boost the color and saturation.
My observation: blues are blue, greens are green, but reds are not red but red orange. That's fine with me. The colors still came out nice. Only the solution to improve the sharpness is what i'm looking for.
