I upgraded to the C905 back in October and was really impressed with the functions of the phone. The phone is exactly what i was looking for. Good looking, fantastic camera and easy to use.

Unfortunately the phone broke in November and again in March. On both occasions it was becuase the ear piece wasn't working. I could make calls and receive calls but could only hear the call if the speaker was activated. The ear piece failed to play any sound. It seems the C905 are having problems with this.

Just to make you aware.

Anonymous, 08 Mar 2009Today I was at the store and gave a better look at this one... moreDont believe these websites, these fanboys always complain on every phone lol, its all a mess! just dont believe anyone on this website; only GSMarena review itself is VALID. I myself have had a go with the C905 in the '3' Shop and I must say C905 is a EXCELLENTLY Built, High-quality camera, superb slider multimedia phone.

JUST GO FOR IT if you like it!

Today I was at the store and gave a better look at this one, because I am planning to buy a new phone in a few months and simply must have a top gun camera slider, wifi and built quality... I liked it very much, but after all these complaints on this site, no thanks... Thinking of buying N85 maybe, if only it had a xenon flash

hey guys, I'm in the market for a camera phone and I came across this C905, is it good?

I've never had a camera phone before(I'm using my trusty old Nokia 3315) and am planning to buy one. Can anyone anyone tell me what important things to look for in a camera phone?

I have had my C905 for 3 and a half months.... Unfortunately it has been at the repairers now for the month and a half. The phone is great it takes great photos and I couldn't ask for anything more in a phone BUT the #3 button went out and was the cancel button and I could even turn the phone off by pressing it!!!!
The time it is taking the repairers with the phone is just waiting on parts so they say. First it was going to be a week at the most then 2 weeks now it has been 6 weeks and I'm stuck paying a contract for a phone I don't even have!!!!

I've heard lots about the speaker breaking on this phone and probs with it blue-screening. Anyone had this problem with a recently bought phone or is that something that SE hav sorted out now?

I have this phone and ordered it based on the SIP settings/VoIP support..... This phone does not support VoIP or any other SIP application. the setting exist but do not do anything. once you have entered your personal SIP/VoIP settings there is no way to link it to the GPRS network or Wireless network and there is no built in functionality to allow you to make a voice call using your SIP settings. Calling Sony Support for help (as there are no instructions what so ever in the manual for the supposed SIP/VoIP support) Sony just say that you need a 3rd party app to use the sip settings. when i asked what app the phone supports or what app supports the phone, they could not tell me anything. when i pushed, they suggested skype. but correct me if i am wrong, if you install the skype app you then use your skype account, you cannot use any other VoIP settings.... my VoIP is with Gradwell and i could use my gradwell sip settings fine on my Nokia E51, I like the stability of Sony so when I saw SIP settings on the C905 I thought this would be the phone for me as I stupidly thought that the SIP settings would actually do something. Basically the conclusion is that Sony have added the SIP settings to make the phone look as though it supports SIP/VoIP but it actually doesn't. you need a third party app and account setting to go with the app provider I.E. skype. The settings are just for show and do nothing until sony can prove me wrong and when I challenged the sony support on this they could not tell me how to make it work even with a third party app. This isn't the first time Sony have made a phone that doesn't do what it says it can do. The K770i video function has the ability to switch from low(MMS) quality to high quality. well it says it has switched to high quality when you select the option, but it does not change the quality at all it stays at MMS (or worse) when i spoke to sony about this they just said that it creates a smaller file for MMS.... but the option clearly says that it is switching to high quality mode so it should be high quality not MMS quality..... sony support just brushed me off.... the K770i also states in it's spec and help file that it has red eye reduction but it does not..... and while it also says that you can turn the flash off.... you cannot turn the flash off it is always in auto mode. Sony phones are great for stability my K770i has not crashed on me once in the year that i have had it.... but they keep selling their phones with functions that don't do anything or do not work or do not exist.... then their support just brush off these design flaws...... nuff said......

I love the features, look of this phone. My c905 is about 2 weeks old. Just yesterday though my down/bottom [button] started going wonky on me. I can't scroll down more than once (e.g. searching contacts/text messages/pictures) without returning to the Main screen. I updated my software using the cd and internet connection but even with the latest version, the problem persists. Contacted sony ericsson via their website but they have yet to respond to my email, except for the automated response. :(
