I recieved my C905 today as well and I'm in love with the "little" fellow. It is in good shape, not too big or long like the i8510 and you'll get used to the weight. The key's are comfortable, only the front look a bit plastic. It works as the all the SE's I had before but this time the screen is bigger and better. And the phone seems even a bit faster, but perhaps the other phones need a software update or a clean memory :)
The GPS is fast (signal outside found in a few sec) and for free with Nav4all that works perfect with it. The internet browser is good but I prefer Opera Mini as that can open any site, while the browser sometimes says "site to large, can't open it". To my pleasant surprise it is possible to watch Youtube movies on the phone!
When you go to youtube it links you to the mobile version of it and when you open a movieclip it buffers and opens it in the Media Player! Really fast with HSDPA, in a few seconds I can see a decent quality movie in landscape or portair mode, half/wide-screen mostly (depends on the movie resolution), without lagging. Sound quality is great as well so if I ever get bored of my music I know what to do.
The camera is as great as expected and it really is nice to see that pictures with the strong(er?) Xenon Flash are not as dark as with the K800i for example, even just in auto mode. Normally I had to choose a scene and then hopefully the flash wouldn't all mess it up or I had to disable the flash and hold the phone steady. No this time the flash makes a brighter picture then ever possible without it. The face recognition works too, and I haven't tried the video recording yet.
One little tiny downside is the slow chess player, on advance mode. :p It's thinking long before not even making the best decisions. I'm used to another Java chess player that does all it moves in 1 secs. Need for Speed on the other hand works great with the accelrometer which isn't implemented in many ways. Just 2 directions (landscape and portrait) in the Media player, picture viewer and browser, like the K850i already had. Bit of a downside but on the other hand it works fine as it goes.
So for now I can't be more satisfied with my phone choice, as I was doubting on a lot of other phones. This one offers all the best of normale Java based Sony Ericsson's, plus some nice majority's other SE's don't have. I'd say go for it if you'd like to own a cool Sony.
Last thing: The persons I spoke to on the phone didn't notice any difference between the phone openslided or closed during the call.

I have just got the phone today, it's gr8, with 8GB memory card, everything is perfect, I think this is the best in compare to samsung or LG.

err its not bad. the battery could be alot lot lot better! and i love s/e i dont have any other brand, but i think they could have improved the battery life as this phone has soooooo many functions and needs big battery to let you use it to its full potential!! but apart from that, yeah go for it!

Chaz, 11 Nov 2008Great phone Just doesnt pick up a network to make a call... moreHey, maybe u have the mobile network set to 3g network, it does not have as much coverage as ur standard network, change under mobile networks, gsm/3g networks, and then select gsm only which is what i have had to do, i still use the GPS and the internet with no problem. hope this helps.

Hi I got my phone from Sony World Delhi,and love the way they design and style but there is some questions one of them is that It's not connected to GPRS and not abl to watch YOUTUBE on this but on my brother phone that is NOKIA N 95 8GB its runs very fast and pleasure to watch WHY? and what is the reason

to be honest - get SE - sound quality is much better than Nokia's, besides you'll get longer battery life

GPS can be used without any charge if you start it and use it offline.. usually it asks if u wana go online.. jus say no...

Been in to the 3 shop today and had a long chat with the guy about the C905 and the LG Renoir. asked him which one to go for and he says "just flip a coin" cause theyre both as good as each other. what would you guys recommend?

i like sony ericsson's ciber-chots phones.camera is the most important think on a phone for me.now i have the w910i with 2 megapixels.it's not good at all! pleaze tell me what phone will i buy ? c902 with 5 mpixels or c905 with 8,1 mpixels ?

i think gsmarena gave wrong information .. your site said that c905 has gps reciver built in but when i bought its not working with satelite its working only with gprs
its AGPS not GPS
i lost my money coz of you
