Dani, plesae dont compare the US to the UK. You obviously havent been out of the US. Anyway just for the record UK lead the world in mobile phone networks. The largest cell phone companys are British. Even when i watch programs from 5 years ago from America they never have cell phones. We have had cell phones in the UK available to the mass market for 15 years now.
BTW you dont have even have fibre optic broadband yet aswell.

Good camera, but rubish software. c702 is more reliable than this one. But if you want to be travelling to and from your store to return it then go for it otherwise give this a miss.

I don't care who is more superior or whatsoever. This is not a forum for people who just want to brag about the status of their nation. I don't see the point in here.
This is a forum dedicated for C905 and definitely not a forum which talks about the best country!

Anonymous, 05 Nov 2008Every top mobile company (SE, Nokia, Samsung, LG, etc) will... morerunning phone without os is just like using old nokia phone remember the black and white display phones by nokia and running a "smart phone" is like running with time and not hanging in stone age nokia still have some sets running on " 1 firmware for 1 model " setup if you feel embress to use smart devices go for those phones they will serv u better and if talking about a camera u can buy a good 10 mp cybershot point and shoot camera from sony in your respective country in the remaning cash.

Hi everyone.The same thing happen with se w595 that has video call function but without front cam.People bought the phone thinking the small circle on top of screen is the front cam but its light sensor.They really felt disappointed n cheated after they bought it.Check out w595 user opinion section.Se should realize that current phone with video call function should come with front cam.For the record,i've emailed to se to highlight the problem.Hope to hear from them soon.

I don't know if it's just my phone but honestly my sony ericsson is better when taking photos than other phones of my friends like N91, 5300 and N70.

I've been reading the comments here for some time as the C905 interests me but you keep reacting negatively like one "mstl" did on another SE phone (G900). Are you two hired by Nokia or what? If you don't like the Phone just stop bothering about it. Here are mostly SE fans, like the Nokia phone comments probably have a lot of Nokia lovers as readers. You can't convince many people, especially when you keep repeating yourself. Go away please..
Btw, I'm a Sony Ericsson fan, although I try to be as objective as possible. I just think this is an awesome phone and that's why I've ordered it. But when I receive the phone and it seems to have problems or failures I'll report that here as well. For now: can't wait to own and use one!

Every top mobile company (SE, Nokia, Samsung, LG, etc) will release 10MP phones. So I don't understand why people come here and tell that Nokia is gonna release 10mp phones. We know it..
C905 is the best camera phone in the market now. It has all the features but doesn't have an OS. Is it a problem? A matter of personal choice. It is not a problem for me. In fact, it is an advantage for me, because browsing and stability is much better without an OS.
If you wanna install lots and lots of new programs and use the phone as a computer, then go buy a phone with an actual OS. The features of this phone is more than enough for me and I really want the phone to be stable, so I will go with C905.

nick, 04 Nov 2008thats just absolute rubbish. do none of you ever actually p... morei totally agree to ya that vga is the better standard compared to qvga . and also think that nokia is waitin and watchin to launch something 10 MP phone to shut the mouth of s e with better camera (remember the k850 the hyped camera phone and the 5 mp camera phone shootout) in my openion the n95 photographs were better than k850 even with having just led flash and s e coud add the features like slo mo wideo recording like 120 fps or more to add some goodie to this highly hyped and over prised device (it has a smmall display). s e is alive only because of some freak fans and those people who actually bought sony diital camera and handycams

just bought this phone. Not that satisfied. In my personal opinion, It should've been more compact and solid. I felt the design to big and clumsy. Keypads are not tactile, Camera cover is shaky. But other than those everything is as expected, not to mention about the camera. Guess I'll stick back to my w980 for its solid and compact design, actually w980 camera is so fine although it lacks of many camera abilities. The color imo wins the c905.

VGA is better than QVGA.
640x480 vs 320x240. it is just better. 4x the resolution my darlings. get over it.

What more can I say...guys at GSMArena is very impressed with C905. People at SE deserves a tap on their shoulders.

QVGA isn't bad at all atleast better than QCIF and the quality is also decent. When I compared the video of C905 with the VGA video of other phones, I did find a hard time comparing the two. In conclusion, although VGA is 4x better in the spec sheet, in real life QVGA and VGA are almost the same when you compare it with the quality of videos taken by videocams.

The "lens" looking thing near the speaker where SE usually put the video calling camera is just a light sensor to adjust the screens brightness depending on the ambient lighting.. Dunno why they took away the second camera tho - maybe its just being a slider there wasn't enough depth to fit it there :(
