Somebody told that the elm firmwar can be modded
But is it advisable? Is it helpfull ?
I have go elm 6 months back . How can i know that
it is with 16m colors or otherwise . pl help..

somebody told that gps lock is obtained just within 5 sec . is it really ? because i have to wait for 5 to 10 min sometimes , even when i go on teress and ground? What is the experience on other phones nokia etc ? pl answer. because many of our friends are not aware of gps usage and response. Even geo tagging is many times wrong. Is gps /geo tagging intended outdoor usage only ? pl help all....

its reciption sensitivity is very weak. I think 25% compared with other phones.
c902, k530 shows 4 bars while elm show only 1 bar and sometimes lost it 1 bar.

I regret buying this phone last Monday, it's a quad band-3g phone but it has very weak signal.
My old dual band phone has much stable signal than this.
It's a good phone but the issues about weak signal reception is true. =(

WASTE OF MONEY
this phone is feature packed device. but all of them unuseable. just like chinese copy cat phone.
Wrose night photos and blue lines in photos (night/dark)
Display brightness is low.
Earpiece volume and speaker sound is very low. Its very dificult to hear while you in crowded area.
GPS - hehe SE joking with us ? its just like Cell-ID location system.
Signal issue - low signal reception. 3 phones show nearly full bars. but elm show me 1 bar (3G)
these errors not only for me. same things happens to 3 of my friends who got elms (not the same production batch)

I saw 5 phones. a... moreCome on friend. I bought this phone last august and still it's working fine. No faults I found with it. & let me answer your comments.
1. This is not a major camera phone like cyber-shot series. But it gives an excellent picture quality in day light condition. Very high quality. (1.2 Mb or higher) And remember, it has just a LED flash only & if you read the user guide carefully, you won't miss the line which is saying that the flash works within 4 or 5 steps.
2. Dark display means low brightness because of its sensor. But that function is very useful. Believe me, you can use your cell about 3 days because of this function. And you will able to read your display in day light too!
3. I agree with you on this. That was the nastyest head-set I ever had. So that's why I told you to use an original SE hand-set.
4. No friend. It can't be because my phone accurates the GPS position very correctly (near 1 meter). And it takes only 5 or 10 seconds. However you can't get the correct position if the weather is not good. So my friend just check the weather or phone settings again. I'm sure it will work correctly.

this phone show only 1 bar while k530i & k810i shows full bars of 3G signals.

BAD PHONE. this is a Toy phone from SE
I saw 5 phones. all had following
Blue lines in night photos
Very dark display
very low earpiece volume & bad sound quality
GPS shows wrong position

I'm going to answer your question firstly about H264. H264 is a type codec which is used for the MPEG4 audio and visual formats, more information can be found at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/H.264/MPEG-4_AVC - Your second question about how to convert H.264 to a more readable format is to download yourself a copy of format factory.
This program is free and there is no restriction on how many times you use it.
For more info on format factory goto google search and key in format factory.

DON'T BUY this phone. phone has lot of disadvangates and faults
Display brightness is very low. other SE phone's 50% bright = elm 100% bright.
After took photo in night there are one or more blue/orange lines in picture - very strange
GPS is inaccurate.
sound quality is very bad and low.
earpiece volume is too low.
Camera flash is not enough.. its just another LED only.
