Sony Ericsson Faith photos surface, show a new GreenHeart
Rumor has it that Sony Ericsson's GreenHeart series is getting business minded with the new Sony Ericsson Faith. Windows Mobile 6.5 inside, QWERTY keyboard outside and bar form factor all over - that's the short version of the description of this alleged new entry into Sony Ericsson's environmentally conscious series.
The Windows Mobile inside happens to be of the Professional variety – thanks to the resistive touchscreen – and seems unmodified, there’s not an XPERIA panel in sight. The source mentions "Panels for 24 hours life", but we have no clue what that means.
The screen of the Sony Ericsson Faith measures 2.4” and sports QVGA resolution. The Sony Ericsson Faith is powered by a Qualcomm MSM7227 processor running at 600MHz.
Connectivity is well covered - quad-band GSM/EDGE and dual-band 3G (900/2100) with HSDPA. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP and a 3.5mm audio jack make up the local connectivity and for location services, there's a built-in GPS receiver with A-GPS support. The Sony Ericsson Faith also features a microSD card slot.
The camera on the back of the phone is a 3.2 megapixel snapper with no flash and it's uncertain if it has auto-focus or not. Speaking of the back, it features the characteristic curve, "human curvature" as Sony Ericsson call it, like we've seen on the Sony Ericsson Elm and Sony Ericsson Hazel.
The curved back of the Sony Ericsson Faith holds the camera and the stylus
The Sony Ericsson Faith will be a part of the GreenHeart series, which entails environmentally friendly packaging and recycled materials, an energy efficient charger, electronic user manual instead of a paper one, eco applications and the Global Take Back program, which aims to recycle old mobile phones.
All this is unofficial information so details are subject to change and we don't have an estimate of release date or price. Still, we do know that the Sony Ericsson Faith will be available in White and Black color versions.
