My all application went blank on this phone , all my data went off.Along with restart issue , this was catastrophic.
finally i sat down and went thru software update instructions and updated my software in switch off mode from my laptop G502 software updater . Works fine now. No problems at all..works perfectly. My suggestion go for HARD BOOT UPGRADE.
Please upgrade your software ASAP..trust it will help.
Big peace of mind. No switching off issue or hang up issue

So if u want remove that bug just update to R1FA035 OR R1FA036 OR R1FA037( Have vidio call) or R1FB001 :-D

I have G502 and true the phne has a great internet browsing and multiple applications can be runned at the same time.. Bt this thing of restarting always get me pisd, i found it that its not that it restart coz of battery level or it restart inorder to boost battery energy for longer usage, actualy a device consumes extra battery power when restarting coz of booting and network search... Until nw i dont knw why it restart so frequently even when am on call. I love ths phne bt i dnt knw what to do with ths mater..

Yes I agree with most of you guys, that the phone restarts frequently when you rough use it. I am using ma cell from 1 year 3 months.. I very much happy with my cell. The only problem is I dont have Flash. Other than that I use a Sony Walkman Headphones for Music, which is very good..!! With browsing, I bet no other cell can beat this. Its fast and very responsive. Use can open multiple apps at the same time. Use Opera browser for best browsing..!!

3/3.to view a clear image of what u were trying to c by zooming.everytime u zoom into a 10MP pic it takes a while for the blurishness to clear.so wait n watch.the buttons are soft and are very usefull for faster typing.email interface is good.just for ur knowledge all phones have drawbacks.we have to adjust with them.g502 is an awsome phone and can match up to any phone in its price range.go for it guys u wont regret spending money on this baby.

2/3.support what other se phones like k530 and w350 supports.g502 supports most of them but some are not supported i doot know if the upgrade will fix this issue.
Let me tell u that this is the best in its price range.this phone has walkman player 3.0 whereas w350 and k530 only have walkman player 2.0.the music is much better than 5130 xm when u plug in a walkman headset.this phone unlike many nokia phone in its price range gives u a good mp4 support and also supports high-quality 3gp.mp4 support isnt good in nokia 5130.
The camera quality for a 2mp snapper is the next best to k550 cybershot 2mp.whats missing in g502s camera is the 'best picture' option.just compare g502's cam with 5130 xm cam and u will c the diffrerence.the java support for games is awsome.it even supports 4MB mboy games.the speed is moderate the game freezes once in every 35min for two min.this has a very polished os which doesnt get corrupt easily unlike 7210 supernova.the zoon option rocks!when u r viewing a 10MP photo you can zoom in 4x

Complaints/drawbacks: 1-this phone when used roughly will lose its button paint quickly
2-the phone restarts very often
3-it hangs a lot.
4-some apps r not supported though they are jar files.
5-have to pair with other devices to send files unlike other se phones which dont need to be paired.
Solution/merits:
Nothing can be done about the button paint.u have 2 b carefull. The restart issue is complicated.i feel that the problem has something to do with the sim,frequency and java because it often shows 'inactive sim'and restarts so it must be with the sim,frequency or MIDP.
The phone hangs because of the soundware u need to upgrade the os to a diffrent version.when u receive too many messages frequently when u r playing music the phone hangs because it has to pause the player to play ur sms tone and what happens when 2many sms are received it tries its best and then it hangs.dont worry g502 has a powerfull processor it wont get weak.
The application support is good but sometimes it doesnt
